XBOX1 owners! EA for $30 a year unlimited access..

This is the direction I expected games to go. And frankly, if you have the option to "rent" a game through this system before plunking down $60, then there is real value there.

There has been some negative flack around this idea, but how would this be different than Netflix? Assuming the selection increases.

Don't see why this is a bad idea, only way it is bad if they take away the option to buy the game and it's an exclusive for this service.....I remember having "a Sega Channel", the games changed monthly but unlimited access during that time with all features, surprised it's just now bring tried again.

Sony has responded, lol

Electronic Arts surprised gamers with a subscription service for Xbox One yesterday, but Sony is less than impressed with the offering. EA Access lets Xbox One owners play titles like FIFA 14Madden NFL 25Peggle 2, and Battlefield 4 for just $4.99 a month, or $29.99 per year. Despite what seems like a good deal, with more games coming soon, Sony claims the program is not good value for PlayStation 4 owners. "We evaluated the EA Access subscription offering and decided that it does not bring the kind of value PlayStation customers have come to expect," a Sony spokesperson told Game Informer. "We don't think asking our fans to pay an additional $5 a month for this EA-specific program represents good value to the PlayStation gamer."

Sony appears

if you read the comments the PS fans are pissed and the XBOX homers are swinging their dicks extra long today.

lol

"Sony is that twelve-year-old who just lost an argument but has to have the last word and just yells “Well you’re fat and nobody likes you!” and storms out of the room."

I read somewhere that a good reason for Sony to pass on the EA package was because of the direct competition with PSN's game subscription.

Time will tell though. If we could get a video game Netflix...

But I am reminded of what EA did to dungeon keeper and how they have the ability to destroy anything!
