The reason why D.G had to put Gaffney on waivers....

Embarrassing? Nothing embarrassing about losing a 6th round pick we did the exact same thing to the broncos with king last year and he was a 4th-5th round pick. This isnt that big of a deal avg rbs grow on trees nowadays

The difference being that they got a couple months to look at King and we lost Gaffney after a play. In hind sight, we should have cut some camp fodder. But worse things have happend.

You really do have to wonder what the other players on the roster think about Stewart, considering everything.

They probably dont give a poo to be honest, unless they're an RB fighting for that spot. At the end of the day Im sure they all know its about getting money first and foremost and Jstew being injury prone doesnt affect them.

And then what do you do in camp?  Run Williams and Tolbert all the time so they're already worn down before the season even starts?  Say one of them gets hurt while pulling extra reps because we're short at RB?  Then what?

Training camp is a huge grind.  There are reasons why teams carry a 90 man roster including several guys with no shot of making the team into camp.

One thing I take away from this is watching a team that is loaded at o line and pluck from their team to get some o-line help we are a injury away from having crap their is just no depth up front.

Cut some other camp fodder. He tried to have it both ways and lost on this one.

Except that doesn't solve anything.

Cut a 'camp fodder' guy at  some other position and not only have you cut a healthy guy for an injured one, but you're still down two runningbacks.

Cut a 'camp fodder' runningback and you're even thinner than you already were.

Neither of those options accomplishes anything worth the issues they cause.

They think he's soft and collecting checks that's what

Which is surprising because he plays like an absolute beast when he's on the field.

Who are "they"? Other players?

people need to quit defending stewart, guy doesn't play while d will gets all the glorious hate for carrying the load

on the other hand this is on DG, our late to mid round picks are looking questionable after recent events

How is that? If nor for his injury he would have been in a perfect situation to get a lot of reps with Stewart hurt again. Are you blaming Gettleman for Gaffney's injury?
