It really isn't a big deal, but it is just pooty thing for Pats to do. Gaffney was not likely to have any type of role this year, even if he was healthy

 

If we pulled off a sneaky move like this against the pats would we all be happy or sad?

yes im sure that this guy that most of the players on the roster knew for about a grand total of a day is surely going to warrant a team meeting and hours of psychiatric therapy to help them overcome this blow to our organization.

To those of you trying to see the "bright side" of the situation by rationalizing the fact that he's done nothing in the NFL is kinda dumb. This kid put up 1700 yds from scrimmage last year, and was a real bruiser.

Keep telling yourself that he wasn't going to make an impact if you want to. The truth if the matter is that Ron himself has said on the record, that he was going to be a big part of what we were going to do this year. He was the insurance on our running attack, and had proved that he would have made a difference from what he did in college. His knee injury isn't even the ACL. That tells me that, while serious enough to sideline him for the year, he will become a factor in this league sometime in the near future.

Even if you don't believe that to be true, please believe we wasted a pick and 100K.

It is amazing how much praise the Pats FO gets considering they haven't won a SB in 10 years and none since Tom Brady became really great

Or since they got caught cheating through filming other teams' plays before they play them... but they're the Pats! They're so classy!
