Hardy talks......

I just find it funny that women always want to be treated as equals to men ad have the same rights ( which they already do so idk why this is even a movement) and all that, but then they don't want men fighting them. Well men fight other men all the time so if u wanna start a movement saying women should be treated the same way men are then you should expect that to actually happen. Women just want it both ways. And I don't think a man should ever lay his hands on a women unless the women is going crazy and beating them up. It should be legal to defend yourself.

Gantt went a little overboard, yes. However, the writing is on the wall. It was carved into the wall when we drafted Ealy. If you have a player who wants as much money as the average QB in the NFL, you make sure that the investment is sound. Hardy is good, but he is not top 5 good. He got his sacks in spurts and vs. weak sisters, so his negotiation is based on inflated stats--Gettlemen knows that. Gettlemen is not going to play games with the head cases. Smitty?

They're gonna offer Greg as much as they can, unfortunately it prob won't be what he's worth on the free market. If Greg has another pro bowl season(which he more than likely will) the whole "head case" issue will be tossed out the window. Greg's talent outweighs any off the field issues he may bring.

2.get rid of D.R as agent and get some realistic fiqures that the team can actually afford.....and keep bringing it on the field.

D.R. is one of the best agents available.

Why you hate him? Cayse he's not your agent?

I can understand that.

Don't worry, Gettleman will handle this, regardless of your feelings.

Greg is going to have to have another monster season, and be a complete boy scout. Even then, the out come of his trial is going to determine his future.

If he's found guilty by a jury, he can forget a bug NFL pay day. He'll still play, but he won't get the big money. If he's found innocent, then it gets very interesting to see how everything develops.

Either way, we need him to play well this year. Hopefully that happens. The rest will take care of itself.

Maybe.  This is one possible scenario.  Hardy is overrated.  He is good, but wants elite money.  Go back and look at his sack total last year--look who he was against--a lot of scrubs and reserves.  He got them in bunches.  I think it was a fluke, and this season will determine if it was a fluke or not.

I could be wrong--I admit it, and some of the craziest people in the NFL have been DEs (Fred Dryer, Randall, etc).

We can afford one elite DE.  Ealy is the cap relief without sacrificing talent.  He will learn this year, start the next three years.  Then CJ will have a new deal or not be on the roster, and we can draft another DE.  You have to cycle them in the cap era.  You cannot have 2 DEs making $30m.--that is basically what you were saying.

Hardy is dragging himself through the mud.  The fans are reacting.  Still, I agree that another 15-sack season will make July 2014 seem like a distant memory.  However, I don't know how we can afford him. I think it will come down to CJ vs. GH. I take CJ all day long in that case.

Put it this way..Goodell and the NFL are getting an ass kicking and bad press for the Rice punishment (just saw the tape again and man she was out cold when he dragged her out.tough guy). Don't be suprised if they lay down a mandatory punishment for any further incidents. So if Hardys jury trial doesn't go well..he could be looking at much more then Two games.

Gantt is saying on twitter that "Greg further embarrassed himself" today. It didn't sound that way to me from what was posted here...

Also, how do you embed the tweets?

Don't know what Gantt is talking about...none of the Panthers beat writers said anything like that....just basically quoted what he said above.

Can we, as the Huddle, make a collective effort to ignore anything Gannt says at this point please. He is obviously fishing for hits. His opinion of us is that we are so stupid that we're going to keep feeding him ratings. So far he's been right, here we are talking about him in fact. I would rather just forget the name exists.

Gannt's dead to us, he has joined the dark side. What was once a guy that helped better our sports community is now a guy who feeds off its insecurities.

gantt's take, for those wondering why he said what he did. note I don't agree with his take, just sharing. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/07/27/greg-hardy-hates-that-hes-been-a-distraction/

This would all be an insight to Gantt's perceptiveness if he didn't hypocritically have a picture of him and Rae Carruth as his twitter avatar
