Must be a funny prank story behind that one. You get the feeling from Thomas' reaction that he's been waiting years to find out who pulled that stunt on him.

I didn't see the ceremony. Did Woodson cry? They've been ragging him on NFLN about that since he was announced as a new member.

Woodson did not cry and kept himself composed quite surprisingly. He had some funny remarks to Steeler fans about booing him when he was in a Ravens uniform and that they should boo him...when he got to being a Raider, he said You guys REALLY booed me then. I was waiting for him to get emotional but he kept himself from going there.

I fell asleep before they announced Derrick Thomas and I am pissed that I missed that one. I hope NFLN will rebroadcast so I can watch the D. Thomas and Bruce Smith enshrinements. I really admired both of those players back in the day.

I take it back... Woodson did get a little emo directing part of his speech on kids and about being of mixed descent (his mom is white, dad is black) and not having to choose which race you belong to. He nearly lost it then and I nearly bawled with him. Being of mixed race myself....it hit close to home.
