How does everyone feel about escalator etiquette? Should you keep walking or let the metal stairs do the work? They are narrower than I thought they would be.

I was at a Houston Texans game a couple of years back and took the escalators up. There was no walking up and down them as they were packed with people. At Fan Fest when I went up no one was walking either, everyone was stationary and enjoying the ride up.
