Home Run Casting Choices in Comic Book Movies

That isn't really her fault it's more that they didn't give her time until Winter Soldier where she played the role really well.  She's an ex-KGB agent, she's only got so much personality period.  Renner doesn't get any time either to expand on his role.

Chris Evans as Captain America has grown on me, but when the casting news first came out I thought the actors playing Hawkeye and Captain America should have been flip flopped.

Sometimes I still think that.

Perhaps the blame is on Nolan (one of the few annoyances in the trilogy) for making Bale so robotic with the Keysi Fighting Method and the voice going on overdrive but Christian has been the best Batman thus far -- I'll concede to that. That said, I felt Keaton captured Batman's sociopathic personality perfectly (more so than Bale). I honestly believed that Keaton's Batman did have psychological issues.

Eh, I'm not gonna write off Affleck yet. Yeah, he's not a great actor but Snyder has the ability to make average actors appear like world class talents.

I'm not a fan of 'conflicted Batman' honestly.

It works well for Spider Man, but Batman has such a singularity of purpose and dedication to what he does that if anything, he should have a god complex.

(and of course the obvious anger issues)

As heroes go, I think the guys who should always be portrayed as having the fewest questions about their mission are Batman and The Punisher.

(and while I'm a Tom Jane fan, I still haven't found a Punisher I'm completely satisfied with either)

burt ward had to turn down the role for The Graduate because the show was such a huge hit, they didn't want any confusion in the mind of audiences, or to sully the wholesome image of the character.  of course, they were really just protecting their "property"

and dusting hoffman became a star and burt ward faded into obscurity

Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor (for the semi-campy original Superman).

The rumors going around with Bryan Cranston as the next Lex Luthor.....ahh, how I wish they were true.

I liked Hemsworth as Thor and Sir Anthony Hopkins as Oden was pretty spot on as well.
