What are your away game watching spots/ritual/setups?

away game are at a pub in greensboro. They have a large secluded back lot where we tailgate just like at BofA and then walk in right before 1.

Been doing this the last two years and this year the owner is actually pulling ALE permits and advertising it a little.

REALLY looking forward to the Monday night game tailgate there.

what kind of rum? neat? mixed?

I prefer Bacardi Select mixed with a little Coke. Cheap with a nice balance of alcohol and flavor, not too much of a burnt aftertaste.

If I'm drinking straight though, I gotta kick up the cost a little. Zaya or Cayopa are the best. Mellow and smooth, damn near perfect. Expensive though.

Not much of a mixed drinker past the coke. My wife makes a hell of a hurricane though.

Normally I am working on Sundays, but when there are certain games that I need to be in "the zone" for, I will schedule off.

My routine changes depending on the time that the Cats kick off. 1,4, 8, or MNF each is a little different.

Lots of wings, and tons of beer if I am home watching the games with my buds.

I work at a radio station on Sundays, so if it's a 1pm game, I'm on the air. All of us here at the station (we have five stations in our radio group) wear our favorite team's jerseys (that would be one Panthers [mine], one Eagles, one Steelers, one Browns, and one Dolphins). It's funny because you'll open your mic to do a break, then all of a sudden down the hall you'll hear someone shriek out at the TV over something that's gone terribly right or terribly wrong with e game they're watching. I do regular scoring updates that are always heavy on Panthers highlights. Then after the Panthers game, when I get off the air at 5pm, I scramble over to my buddy's house. He's a griller extraordinaire, and there's always something good to eat there. Then we sit around and watch the afternoon games - basking in the warm fuzzy feeling if the Panthers won, or consoling each other if they lost. Man, football season is the best! I can't wait for it to get here!
