Why, Kraken....why?

How things have changed in just a few short months.  I remember when the Kraken came to the site, pushing charity work and jacket donations.  My image of him now is far removed from who I thought he was.

We all want a player who is different from the average player.  But we want those eccentricities to be focused on perfecting his game, not his rap career.

JJ Watt  was quoted as saying:  "I have a limited amount of time to build a career out of football and be the best that I can be at this job.  When this job (football) is over, I have the rest of my life to do what I want to do with my time.  Right now, my job is to watch film, workout, and treat my body right.  When I get done with football, then I can relax and drink as many beers as I want and hang out and be a regular guy.  Right now, I am a football player and I will sacrifice whatever is necessary to be the best."  http://sports.genius.com/Jj-watt-why-im-devoted-to-football-annotated

Hardy needs to reevaluate who he wants to be.  He was so close to becoming a superstar, I hate to see it all flushed away through offseason distractions.

They loved the persona in a football environment....lots of dudes flip a switch. Hardy doesn't likely have one

On and off the field no matter what he did threads about him were filled with people who praised and adored him. Obviously fans can turn on a player quickly. I think Greg probably should be laying low, but I don't blame the guy for living his life. He wasn't breaking any laws.

I imagine that if Gettleman, and Rivera have not already sat down with Hardy to talk about things, they will soon.

I mean that was like 15 years ago. If that's your person to use as an example for your flop flopping ways that proves my point even futher. You can start by atleast wishing good luck on those who were in uniforms just a year ago

So, tell us please, exactly what is the statute of limitations on this so call "flop flopping"?  Inquiring minds need to know.

Hardy has been making music for a while. I could understand if he just started doing this but he has had a passion for music for the longest. Where the hell else do u think most up and coming artist perform? Its still technically off season anyway, wasn't a problem the last couple years....smh couldn't shake these stupid over reactions even for a lil while.

There were plenty of posters who were nervous about giving him a big deal bc of his odd behavior.......and that was before the domestic violence incident

nor do i think he really broke any laws with that girl besides being stupid for being with her.

bad things can happen in clubs and he just got convicted and he has what, 5 days till training camp? best to take yourself out of any possible bad situation.

i know he is into his music and that's awesome, but sometimes things need to be put on hold to straighten things out.

I agree with you. That being said, it is not too late at all for Greg to turn things around here in Carolina, at least in my opinion.

What he does from training camp forward will decide that. I hope he realizes this, and uses it all as motivation.

Not sure the Big Cat agrees.  I wouldn't be surprised if he's already let Gettleman know that Hardy is done in Carolina after this season.  We shall see I suppose.  I'd love to see him get his poo together off the field and remain a Panther.

I've got a little girl thats getting ready to turn 3 and quite honestly just thinking about the things I'm going to have to ask for...definitions...for in 10 years terrifies me. I'm gonna stop thinking about it.

You've never heard of Urban Dictionary?

Greg, c'mon bro

For the record I dont have any issues with him being at the club after his trial, I dont care if he left the court room then went DIRECTLY to the club. It was a BS conviction that will be appealed, my issue is that G Hardy just sucked at his rapping. If you're gonna get on stage and rap, you better not suck.
