Ashley Fox - Hardy Situation Trumps Others

Gucci Mane

Some of these comments are scary. The guy has been convicted at this point and if 10% of the witness testimony is true, I'd show him the door.

The jury trial will be a circus and he'll almost certainly settle a civil suit in the meantime. Maybe the jury lets him off, maybe they don't, but rest assured, this is his last year in Carolina.

Roethlisberger was suspended after charges were dropped. You never know what might happen with the league.

True that you never know, but rape is a lot worse than Hardy possibly barely touching the girl after she came at him with her heel.

Seriously? Ben was potentially facing felony sexual assault charges.

We're talking about two misdemeanors here.

Just shows you how much NC cares about protecting DV victims.

With that said Goodell needs o let the court process play out.  Even if Hardy was found guilty in the end I think it will be overturned.

He's not charged with felony manslaughter because they have no evidence. It's called due process. Getting in a scuffle and rape are not the same thing.

Ok guys lets reveiw all of the information reported by the media in the court room an paraphrased testimony reported by the media. She said she was thrown in a bath tub then drug into a bedroom, then choked, then thrown on to a couch with assault rifles. Her listed injuries were "The officer told the judge that Holder had a cut on her arm, scrapes and redness, a large bruise on her back and swelling on her shoulder. "  If all of that supposedly happened there would be alot more bruises in a lot more places. Being thrown into the bath tub several times unless he is purposely trying to have a controlled throw which  is impossible with a human body you are going to have some face and head trauma to go along with other said bruises. If you got dragged by your hair from said bathroom to bedroom there should have been bruises, redness, swelling to your legs, if you got choked there should have been bruises to your neck. There is no way a 6'5 300 lb man who can bench press many times more than a average man and throw around 300lb men wouldnt leave a bruise. She claims her arm was slammed in a toilet seat. If anything some evidence supports that but the other injuries are too minor to support that type of attack.   What gets even better is that she was said to be running away from police when the first officer arrived. Lets not forget she was on drugs. More importantly if you listen to the 911 call you can clearly hear her screaming in the background. The one thing that no one presented or picked up on is at the 38 mark of the 911 call When hardy says "keep her away from me please. there is another voice there talking." That is in close proximity to the phone not off in the distance. She claims she was held down outside by her manager the whole time while hardy called 911. I cant make out what is said but how can he be in two places at once and its a distinctly different voice. An even better question is if you get drug by your hair the hair should have come out did anyone look at this girls scalp to see if there was some sort of bleeding or any redness to support it. Hardy may have gotten physical and may have been defensive and may have pushed her down but not beat her. This whole mess is wrong and partly Hardy's fault.Sorry for grammar and typing if this comes out jumbled.

I like Hardy as a player as much as anyone else here but this is just distasteful.

We don't know exactly what happened but to say that the beatings should have been much worse than they were because he is a big bad football player is just retarded. Sure if Hardy wanted to really hurt her then she would have several bruises and blood everywhere but he probably went easy on her.

Now if your daughter, wife, or female friend comes home with a cut on her arm, scrapes, redness, big bruise on her back, and swelling on shoulder are you really going to defend the alleged attacker?!?

Something doesn't add up. If the phone call was legit and not a cover up then how did that girl get mildly roughed up? Was it self inflicted? or did Hardy do that?

Due process? He was convicted of assaulting a woman. Your defense of him shows your character.

Yes. The Judge found that he was upset and yelled at a woman in a heated and threatening manner while communicating threats.

The Judge also called the testimony of a person on cocaine and drunk the night of the incident, who had made known she was going to show Hardy "crazy", credible testimony.

There was no finding of battery or physical abuse.

Meanwhile there is plenty of evidence of Holder committing assault and battery on a man and forcing her way into Hardy's apartment while drunk and high on cocaine. After being asked to leave several times she continues to come at Hardy and draws blood. She continuously provokes Hardy and insists that he cause her bodily injury and break her arm - which he refuses to do. There is testimony in the trial of her premeditating an assault on Hardy by making it known to people around her that Hardy has not seen crazy yet.

Prior to all of this she would not remove her items from Hardy's apartment when requested. Hardy had her items removed and placed back in her apartment while she was away. Hardy also stopped paying her rent for her apartment. She made it well known she was going to get her piece and make him pay.

If he had been found to have "beat" her, as the ESPN reporter said in her biased and shoddy reporting, the judgement would not be a misdemeanor with probation.

Hardy should have pressed charges the night he called 911 and had her put in jail for her actions. He just had her escorted away from his home. He left it up to the magistrate and the state, and they will always go after the man in a domestic dispute even if there is more evidence against the woman.

Have you ever had to restrain another human being that was fighting and attacking you with everything they have?  Not every guy knows the perfect way to restrain someone so they can't move at all.           Most of us just do the best we can in a situation like that,  and if the person is fighting against the restraining attempt,  they can definitely hurt themselves.

So I'd say both...........  I'd say that Hardy was trying to hold her down or restrain her in some way,  until she calmed down and stopped trashing his place and attempting to beat on him........and her fighting against it,  flailing all around trying to get out of his restraint..

I wouldn't restrain a woman. If lock myself in a room or leave. If a chick is freaking out enough and you restrain her, leaving bruises and marks all over her arms or wherever, then you could potentially get yourself in trouble. All it takes us one chick to lie and say you were forcefully restraining her against her will and you're screwed.

It's all moot, though. Grow up and keep the right company and it'll never be an issue. Most people look at it as black and white. You either go out and act wild and crazy or you sit at home and are a prude. However, it is also possible to go out and have a good time without being an idiot and putting yourself in risky situations.

I don't think Hardy is a bad person, he's just very immature. It's time to grow up.

    • Cam is the GOAT dual threat, but we've never been able to have back to back seasons with winning records despite the late season surge winning streaks, my favorite being the year we won the south in the 2nd half of the season. But winning 2 games late in the year against bad teams doesn't establish a "winning culture"  If they beat the Falcons bucs once, competitive against the chiefs and eagles i will have no problem with wins then because it's against legitimate competition but beating the giants and saints just to feel good, hard pass.
