I'm not gonna lie, I haven't mentioned it until now, but I seriously think PJs overall shooting has been down because those rims are jacked at that arena.  I figured it would take him a few games to get the feel of it down... 

 

They showed a mix of Lavine's dunks throughout the summer and at first, I thought they had added sound effects to it because those rims were SUPER TIGHT.  Everytime he touched them it sounded like a f'ing Wiley E. Coyote invention, "BOINGGGGG!"  "BAAAADOINGGGGGG!!"

I thought it was a joke when it was being discussed earlier as well, but I'm serious...   Watching the games, you better get the shot straight up and straight down, because if you shoot it from any distance at all and hit any part of the rim, it is likely taking a huge bounce off of it.

 

I've shot on rims before that for whatever reason were tightened way too much, and it looks like the rims there are a bit more springy than pretty much any NBA arena...  I could be wrong, but I think there is something to it.

I'm not saying that's the only reason for his overall shooting percentage, but I think it's contributed to it...  I think if you look at the stats for all the teams across the board, the percentages are pretty low compared to what is expected.
