With this picture I make you angry....

The officiating was terrible no doubt.  I felt all season we kept our composure against all the trash talking until this game.  We beat them once why we were so edgy I don't know.  I felt the whole game our guys were trying to prove they were as tough as the Niners were.   IMO along with the refs letting the Niners get away with more garbage than us, we allowed them to take us out of our game.

Like Cary Kollins said we acted like we had never been there before.  Couldn't have said it better.

We get there this year.  We won't be so intent on proving we belong.

A certain amount of holding is part of the game, but the calls were pretty one-sided on that particular day.

Incidentally, this hold was brought to you by the same man who got away with a blatant head-butt right in front of a ref not long after the Panthers were penalized 15 yards for a much less blatant head butt.

I hate to claim we got jobbed, but we got jobbed.

The officating of that game was one of the worst displays of absolute jobbing I've seen.

Seattle and San Francisco playing in the NFC Title game was too much for the NFL to pass up.

Im not one to make excuses but thst game was a joke. NFL can go to hell

we got jobbed by the refs, no doubt.

but.....we got emotional. we got too emotional. the team let the 49ers get into their heads before the game even started and it continued throughout the game. them getting rick flair to speak to them was no coincidence and that was only part of it. we have a very young emotional group and we had guys like mike mitchell and capt. munnerlynn as emotional leaders. our team couldn't keep their composure. they got pushed around and made boneheaded mistakes. the thing is, they had done to them what we did to the rams. we manipulated them into making boneheaded mistakes that cost them the game and that got done to us. we could dish it out, but we weren't capable of taking it.

Yup, and even with all that we had several goal line opportunities we failed to capitalize on - was a very winnable game for us that we gave away on multiple levels.

This post is exactly the reason why it is ridiculous to blame the refs for that game. Were there bad calls against yes? Hell yes there were. Did we blow several opportunities that could have easily changed the outcome? Hell yes we did. Everybody on here blaming the refs for this loss are just like Saints fans saying bounty gate was the NFL punishing them for being a good team.

Cough cough

*cough* What you can't see in this picture is that the ball was already intercepted 7 yards up field, so Gronk would have had to commit PI on both Luke and Lester to get to it.*cough*
