Yeah, I'm sorry, nothing against the Pacers or their fans, but I've always thought Vogel was a joke as a coach.  If I was one of his players, I'd do what the f I wanted because nothing about him makes me want to give him any respect.

If you've ever seen the sideline mics of him in the huddle, I've never once seen or heard him draw up a play or get onto a player.  I've never seen him bench a player for moping around or fuging up.

He's a pushover coach who desperately wants the players approval.  I also remember seeing a show on NBATV awhile back when DJ had first signed with them and I believe Vogel had just been named the permanent head coach.  They showed them at a practice and he pulled the players aside to give them some generic "rah rah" talk and all of the players, including DJ (which was surprising to me considering his character) were looking away and like rolling their eyes as he talked.

So, I'm not worried about Lance getting out of line here and causing a disruption.  For one, Big Al IS NOT, I REPEAT, IS NOT, Roy Crybaby Emo Hibbert.  And two, players actually respect Steve Clifford.  And three, Paul Silas is still a consultant in case anyone wants to get Tyrus Thomas'ed into a locker.

Indiana brought Lance in and "took care of him" from the get go.    Lance needs stability.

Now he has money, probably seeing himself as "the man" on this team...

You all will find out real fast what Sir Lance is all about.    If things go south .........

and don't kid yourself.. .  Indiana is a vetern team.    They went to the ECF 2 years in a row.    And they run "a very tight ship" ..   Lance thinks he is a "superstar" ..     And he will try to prove it in Charlotte.

I can't wait to see how this unfolds...

We all appreciate your concern about our new player and coming over to our team forum. I find it funny that it seems all Pacers fans wanted Lance back but now that he decided not to come back, it's going to be addition by subtraction for you all.

Well we already know about the negative stuff about Lance bc our Hornets beat writer is likes to talk about the worse things from this transaction.

So how about you talk about some of the ways he positively affected the game in Indiana bc Bird and Co wouldn't have offfered him a 5 yr deal if they didn't want him.

That garbage that Vogel let him get away with won't fly with Clifford.

As far as stability goes, Charlotte is one of the most stable teams there is. We aren't the best team, but we have no inner problems within our organization or team.

As far as the money goes, Big Al will keep him in line. Yes the Pacers have a veteran laden team but they lacked leadership after Granger's departure. It's been speculated that George is a silent leader, Al Jefferson on the other hand is a very vocal leader. I think the Pacers problem as a whole stemmed from their inability to gel and that can't be blamed on one singular player.

Like I said, Clifford suspended a player for showing up five minutes late to a team meeting. To my knowledge, neither Stephenson nor Turner were suspended for their locker room scuffle. Once again, that garbage won't fly with Clifford and Stephenson will get more than just a stern talking to if it happens.

I'd also like to point out that your season seemed to go south when Granger was traded for Turner, not because of Stephenson. In fact the only reason you guys even won a single game in the ECF's was due to Lance's amazing performance. I also find it funny that Turner didn't play in that game.

And even though Bird is a very influential man and someone that you would want to please, I highly doubt you want to get on MJ's bad side.

Our hope is that Lance does indeed think he is a superstar and subsequently plays like it.

Especially not when he's the guy paying you...

THIS is EXACTLY the Lance you DO NOT WANT ...    trust me.

Go to Indy boards, listen to podcasts...     This is the Lance indiana got the second half of last season.

Ball moves, gets to Lance....   one on one go to the rim or shoot a silly 3.

That is NOT the Lance you want.    He is a GREAT facilitator.        He is NOT Michael Jordan.

By the way you all will like Noah V...     Tom Crean is an idiot.     He totally underutilized this guy.

Lance now has a guy in the post that can score and while Kemba is not the greatest distributor, he benefits from having someone else who can handle the ball and can score as well, which is what we lost when McBob left for Miami. Kemba and Al are upgrades offensively to Hill and Hibbert.

Just like Al, eventually, if all goes well I will not be surprised to hear that Kemba had a big hand in recruiting Lance and pitching him to a front office that had just lost out on Hayward. Kemba is a New York guy. They played together at Rucker Park and competed in high school and in the Big East. Kemba loves this move. Steve Clifford is also a New York guy as is Patrick Ewing, who Lance grew up watching and was in the room along with MJ to deliver the contract.

Whether or not fans wanted him gone doesn't change the fact that Indiana let a potential star get away with nothing in return at 23 years old on a bargain contract to a fellow playoff team in the same conference. If you're the Hornets, antics aside, you take that every day of the week.

No he's not Jordan, but he has Jordan's ear and will surely get some tutoring. If he pays attention to half of what MJ tries to show him he could be even more dangerous. Lance isn't far from being a great player. He needs to make the most of his opportunity here. He's fortunate to be playing for the guys he idolized growing up, MJ & Ewing. Now it's time to put the work in

Who could be a better mentor for Lance than MJ.

You can not tell anything from SL. Dudes have lit it up and sucked in the NBA. Dudes have sucked in the SL and played well in the NBA.

I expect 8-10ppg points from PJ if given decent burn.

Last week you had him starting out of the gate and tearing it up. You're back off of that now, right?

    • According to the talking heads of the sports world, this is a pretty meh QB class.  Sanders and Ward are the only two with first round buzz, but the rest are blah.  Take that for what you will. Let's see how Bryce does in year three.  That's just where we are.  Patience is the key here.  Players need time to develop.  They can't develop if they don't play.  Bryce has made some really good throws, but he doesn't look like CJ Stroud.  That's going to be his point of comparison the rest of their careers.  The ball doesn't explode off Bryce's hand, it's not a cannon ball shot out of a cannon.  He's not going to break a 70 yard run.   Bryce is going to have to continue to make good throws and make plays.  Part of that is going to depend on the play calls.  Part of it is based on the skill players.  A couple drops picked up yesterday and it's a win and Bryce throws 1-2 more TDs.  A completely different story. It's been a crazy year indeed.  I just want to see Bryce continue to develop.  To see XL become more consistent.  To see JT fully recover (not play this season if he's not healthy).  I want to see Coker continue to make plays.  I'd love to see Brooks get more touches and Chubba continue to hammer defenses. Then this approaching offseason, let's go back to the D and work on fixing it.
    • Prime is already gone boss.  Nothing left for team Sanders in college football.
    • Justin Fields’ fifth-year option was declined by the Steelers in April. Without a new contract, he will be a free agent in March. I am pulling for Bryce Young to look good the rest of the season, but if he doesn't, how many of you would be on board for the Panthers to try signing Justin Fields?
