Hardy found guilty

Why do folks here keep putting themselves in the same situation as a player as if it is at all comparable.  If you fiance is bigger than you then  that is not analogous to Hardy who is 6'4" and 290.  So anything you say after that is irrelevant.

If you hang out with rough woman then whose fault is that?  You deserve what you get then.. I make it a general rule not to hang out with aggressive mentally unstable woman who can kick my butt.  So do you apparently, so again I don't see any of your post is relevant to his situation.

Seriously?

Wouldn't the girl be at fault for hanging out with rough guys, also?

Do you view women as a simple gender not responsible for any actions they may take?

Know something I don't?

Bears are dangerous.

People here were quick to the same comment about all 7 women Darren Sharper raped, and it has nothing to do with the team he played for. It's American culture.

Valid point, though I do think homerism plays a part too.

No one except for the three people in that room knows exactly what happened that night. I think all three of them are lying to an extent, but I don't think Hardy is some woman beater that people are making him out to be. And fwiw I was on Holder's side when this incident first broke.

I have no idea what kind of person Hardy is other than that he's repeatedly demonstrated horrible judgment and immaturity.  Off the field, maybe he's a great guy and maybe he's an outright evil bastard.  Not enough info to say.

But as to what happened, pretty much.  Peole have a tendency - conscious or not - to skew their memory of events in a way that casts them in the best possible light even under normal circumstances.  In a situation like this, you've got that to deal with at the very least but outright lying is a very real possibility.

I don't think most people understand these charges. Its domestic violence charge and communicating treat charge. Both misdemeanor charges which are about a serious as a speeding ticket or a bar fight. A jury trial will find him not guilty if the same testimony is used, still he is guilty if you go by the books and ignore the grey areas. He did defend himself from her attacks so that's domestic violence and he did threaten her so both of those he is guilty of. If he were the defendant she would be guilty as well but she is not.

All I have is this:

the more time these kids have unsupervised time over the summer, the more they show their (lack) maturity. The Ravens are at the top of the list for morons...

For me it was Hardy's gun collection laying out on a bed ( if I have that right)  as he partied to point of losing his mind...that is most disturbing part of this mess. We've had enough gun play in our history and the Panthers need to identify off season leaders to keep our own morons from hurting people, and possibly shooting people (including themselves). There was a point of excess here with the weapons and making a mistake with a gun is final, i will say for those NRA members here, i have no problem if he took a course and had some protection for himself, but this wasn't that...

Hardy started believing is own BS and lost control and will now pay for it, but I hope he can grow up and become a professional player and stay in CAR. He will also need to give us a large discount for his stupidity and for us staying with him...but i hope the moron learns something while here, plays hard and entertain but be a decent person and be thankful for $$ we give him.

My guess is the Panthers brass are going to wait to see if Hardy gets a suspension from the NFL.  That will determine what they do with him.  Outright releasing him is not a good move considering they would still have to pay him $13 million dollars.  Trading him is a possibility, but what team wants to take on a $13 million dollar cap hit for a player that might give you half a season and could be a major distraction.

Panthers are in wait-and-see mode and I wouldn't expect any moves to be made if/when the NFL dishes out a suspension.

even if hardy wins the appeal and this woman is really a gold digger that manipulated the events that led to this whole thing (which i don't tthink she's smart enough to do), she picked the perfect mark....an immature man with pretty exhaustive history of incidents showing really poor judgement who has a lot of money. that is something he really needs to take a  look at. his lifestyle and tendency to make poor choices just to satisfy him in the moment opened him up for something like this to happen. thats not saying he asked for it, but it is saying that he made himself susceptible to it.

what's done is done. he's going to spend some time trying to clean this very messy part of his life up that at the very least he is partly responsible for. this shpuld be a seripus catalyst for change in his own life amd should be the wake up call that drastic changes in his behavior and who he chooses to affiliate himself with.

it's probably too late for that to matter here and it probably is taking millions away from his potential future earnings, but he could probably still salvage his future if he is willing to scrap the old life and clean his life up.

Hardy isnt going anywhere for 18 months - the judge told him that yesterday.  At this point trading him is Not an option at all.

and I think Hardy might have cooked his goose with the judge yesterday when he got on the witness stand and started his smart assery.
