Boozer?

Recommended Posts

I'd trade Neal for a 2nd round pick and drop $5 mil on Boozer.

You're only paying him for one year so he won't tie up your cap as long as you renounce him after the season.

But with Kemba, Stephenson, an MKG with a jump shot, Boozer, and Jefferson starting with Roberts, Henderson, Hairston, Williams, Taylor, Zeller, Vonleh, and Biyombo off the bench...

That team could go to the ship if it gels.

Since getting Boozer will require a blind bid and the highest bid wins.

Only 9 teams have money to be in the bidding.  Only two teams seem like logical fits in the Hornets and Hawks.

What is your bid for Boozer?

I am bidding 2.5 Mil and see how it goes.

I'd probably go $3.5 million if I wanted him. That's roughly our cap space, and it's only a one year deal. The only other roster spot we need is a 3rd string PG.

Boozer would be a useful addition at the right price. He'd give us a decent starting PF. Got to say I'd like the look of the team if we got him:

Kemba / Lance / MKG / Boozer / Al

Got decent rotation options as well:

Roberts / Hendo, Neal / Williams, Hairston / Zeller, Vonleh / Biyombo

Overall this team could be a tough team in the East.

I would want to see as little of Boozer & Al on at the same time as possible.

Neither are great on defense, but Clifford does a great job scheming to make defensive deficiencies.

Big Al went from a major liability in Utah do decent last year. I am not saying he was a defensive stopper, but he wasn't a big liability either.

I dont really like Boozer playing next to big Al on offense or defense, seems like they would get in each others way.

But he is overqualified to be a back-up and at less than $3 mil he is a great asset to have. You can always trade him at the deadline if you need to.

Plus you could still start Marvin, and bring Boozer off the bench to give is some offense when Al is resting

Having Biz and Boozer out there would be nice, so we still have some offense down there to pair with Biz's D.

    • According to the talking heads of the sports world, this is a pretty meh QB class.  Sanders and Ward are the only two with first round buzz, but the rest are blah.  Take that for what you will. Let's see how Bryce does in year three.  That's just where we are.  Patience is the key here.  Players need time to develop.  They can't develop if they don't play.  Bryce has made some really good throws, but he doesn't look like CJ Stroud.  That's going to be his point of comparison the rest of their careers.  The ball doesn't explode off Bryce's hand, it's not a cannon ball shot out of a cannon.  He's not going to break a 70 yard run.   Bryce is going to have to continue to make good throws and make plays.  Part of that is going to depend on the play calls.  Part of it is based on the skill players.  A couple drops picked up yesterday and it's a win and Bryce throws 1-2 more TDs.  A completely different story. It's been a crazy year indeed.  I just want to see Bryce continue to develop.  To see XL become more consistent.  To see JT fully recover (not play this season if he's not healthy).  I want to see Coker continue to make plays.  I'd love to see Brooks get more touches and Chubba continue to hammer defenses. Then this approaching offseason, let's go back to the D and work on fixing it.
    • Prime is already gone boss.  Nothing left for team Sanders in college football.
    • Justin Fields’ fifth-year option was declined by the Steelers in April. Without a new contract, he will be a free agent in March. I am pulling for Bryce Young to look good the rest of the season, but if he doesn't, how many of you would be on board for the Panthers to try signing Justin Fields?
