My lawyer friend sent me this. : Judges always convict at district court jury trials. Its the lowest risk. All the district court trial does is weed those who can't afford an appeal to superior court for a jury trial.

I think the reaction here is still a bit over the top. We saw how crazy today went. No way you get the same ruling with a jury. They have to all agree guilty. This is in no way a good look for Hardy, but its hardly as bad as some are suggesting here.

Think about how many guys can't afford the attorney Hardy has and the judges that have agendas. In some ways equality will never happen.

My guess is yes, he'll be suspended by either the league or the team either way. Sidenote: The jury trial (if it happens) will happen once the regular season has already started.

Yeah can someone explain the 60 day suspension?

A 60 day suspended sentence means he has to be on probation for whatever the court says, I think in this case it's 18 months.

During that 18 months he must comply with the courts orders. This means complying with any court imposed fines, court ordered counseling, complying with court restraining orders, paying restitution, etc.

If he complies with all court orders, he won't go to jail, ergo his sentence is suspended. If he fugs up any part of what the court says, he is going to go to jail for 60 days.

It's not about reality but the tweets of what was happening in the trial. While it was happening. So yeah hard to bias something when they are just reiterating what they see in court. So from all that information I call bullshit and it's most certainly not homer bias. If it was anyone else I'd feel the same. That girl is crazy.

exactly.  i said when he got arrested these cases were all about the male proving innocence beyond reasonable doubt.  that's why they take guns, lock up w/o bond for 48 hours, etc.

 

then hardy got a double whammy with a bitch judge.  there is no way a dude has a chance in this scenario.  him being black doesn't help either.  crooked ass laws.

Can they suspend prior to the appeal and a jury trial? What if he is found innocent...could he not sue the NFL and the team for lost wages?
