sounds like the DA/judge is giving hardy the run around since this is a highly public case.  most times if the alleged victim isn't there they don't even waste their time with any testimony.  i guess the power's that be have to act like they care since there is media there.

Pretty sure the unbiased stance on his guilt would be to reserve judgement, especially since all the calls/texts/video/audio from the incident isn't clear one way or another. 

 

For sure. Innocent until proven guilty, right? I just meant that as Panther fans, we're inclined to think that he didn't do it.

 

it's only fair when the witness shows up to court to make a case...  otherwise, it's consider hearsay and deserves no such punishment.

 

the 911 call has provided more evidence than she has..    you know, where he said "I can't touch her man!  Get her out of here!"

 

of course, we don't know what happened but we do know she sounded irate like she was on coke and she wouldn't leave a place where she was allegedly beat up.

 

it doesn't take any sort of homer glasses to see that... 

 

I think I meant fair in the more universal sense of justice. Of course, she has to show up to make her case. As far as that 911 call goes, that sounds to me like a man who knows he already fuged up, got scared when she threatened to sue him, and tried to absolve himself by saying "I can't touch her man" (anymore than he already had). Yes though, none of us really know what happened because we weren't there. Just because she was coked up and wouldn't leave doesn't mean she wasn't assaulted though.

 

I'm not trying to defend this lady; I hope Hardy gets off as much as the next guy. All I'm saying is just because Hardy is a Panther, doesn't make him a saint, no pun intended.

that was tongue in cheek..  but still, it takes all kinds...  I've had a different experience.  I hear similar comments about "church girls" too and in both cases haven't exactly found any that's more of a freak than those I end up with anyhow.  Minus all the bullshit from both types.

I hear ya..  I can only speak for myself but I think there's more questionable behavior from her that leads me to believe he didn't exactly "beat the poo out of her" like her friend stated.  Has nothing to do with being a Panther.  I'd take this stance, in this situation, with a Saint..  pun not intended.  ;)

is this the first court date?  i can't remember.

 

usually they don't show, get one continuance.  don't show again, judge calls it for what it is, and drops the poo.  what a friend has to say is irrelevant.  everybody's got friends.
