We keep hearing Cho might rather make a trade....

Goran Dragic

There's no way in hell the Suns shop the dragon.

They're going to be rolling into the year with a loaded squad imo.

Dragic, Bledsoe/Goodwin, Tucker, Warren, Plumlee with Thomas coming in as the 6th man/3-guard spark plug.  Add in Ennis and Green depth that's loaded.

Bledsoe is still technically on the market so if there's anyone from them we have a shot with it's him.

I'd actually be all over that too but word is that's who Miami wants to pair with Napier.

HMMMMMMMMM........

For what its worth, I took my oldest daughter to a b-day party in May. I decided to stick around and help out the dad with the kids. He pointed out one girl and said her brother is going to Duke next year to play basketball. When her mom came to pick her up I just had to ask some questions about her son. Eventually I learned she was Dion Waiters aunt and stays in touch with him frequently. I quickly asked her if any there was any truth that he wasn't very happy in Cleveland. She paused and only answered with two words. "Trade Toronto". She then explained that he may be traded this summer and his agent knew Toronto had interest.

Of course that was in May when the Cavs were still a dumpster fire. Just thought I would share. Probably means nothing but I wonder if Cho would have some interest being the 3rd team in a Cavs/Wolves trade and we wind up with Waiters.

Would rather have Martin.

I don't see anyway that trade could happen.  We don't have an asset to trade that would pull that off.  Any trade is going to have to send the biggest piece back to minny.  Either Wiggins or Waiters, but Cleveland is not going to send both.

Cho better make a trade. During last season Henderson had a negative 1.4 rating while he was on the floor. And +1.6 while he's was off. The only starter who had a negative net rating.

I can't take that all season again

Hornets- Martin

Warriors- Love, Henderson

T-Wolves- Lee, Thompson, Speights 1st via GS, 1st via CHA

Golden State & Minnesota both cone out equal on salary cap. Charlotte adds $800k to swap Henderson for Martin.

Charlotte gives up Henderson & a 1st (likely #20+) to grab Martin. Upgrades the weakest position with a vet who can come in & average 20ppg efficiently.

Golden State gets Kevin Love & a capable SG in Henderson to fill the void left by Thompson.

Minnesota gets what they want in Thompson, & 2 future 1st rd picks.

It's a wib-win for everybody involved.

This is a much more plausible trade.

That trade actually looks very reasonable. The only thing I might change is Barnes instead of Speights. I don't think Minnesota would want two power forwards.

Cha: Kevin Martin

Gsw: Love, Henderson

Minn: Lee, Thompson, Barnes, 1st from Gsw, protected first from Cha

Not sure GS does that one.  Maybeee though.

It does +7 wins for them.

Depends when the trade is done. The closer to the trade deadline we get the less the price will come down, but by then acquiring Martin might not be the best idea for us as we would only have 1 1/2 years of Henderson left.

Martin is a solid player but he has three more years left on his deal and his contract is slightly backloaded. I don't know if that's in the best interest of our team.

Actually I don't know if I'd throw in our first.

Martin's deal runs longer than Henderson's and it's slightly backloaded.

I think taking that deal off Minnesota's hands would be enticing enough without throwing in a pick.

We won't have the added salary of a late 1st next year, offsetting it. We also wouldn't be paying near max to a younger guy to upgrade the SG. We're still saving a good bit to pay Kemba & Al next summer.

Martin is one of the best shooters in the league. He can average 20ppg while shooting 44-46% Fg & 36-38% 3pt.

Wouldn't worry about his salary or lack of defense. We have plenty of cap space & a great defense. He'd be playing alongside MKG. We need a scorer & 3pt threats. He adds that.

    • According to the talking heads of the sports world, this is a pretty meh QB class.  Sanders and Ward are the only two with first round buzz, but the rest are blah.  Take that for what you will. Let's see how Bryce does in year three.  That's just where we are.  Patience is the key here.  Players need time to develop.  They can't develop if they don't play.  Bryce has made some really good throws, but he doesn't look like CJ Stroud.  That's going to be his point of comparison the rest of their careers.  The ball doesn't explode off Bryce's hand, it's not a cannon ball shot out of a cannon.  He's not going to break a 70 yard run.   Bryce is going to have to continue to make good throws and make plays.  Part of that is going to depend on the play calls.  Part of it is based on the skill players.  A couple drops picked up yesterday and it's a win and Bryce throws 1-2 more TDs.  A completely different story. It's been a crazy year indeed.  I just want to see Bryce continue to develop.  To see XL become more consistent.  To see JT fully recover (not play this season if he's not healthy).  I want to see Coker continue to make plays.  I'd love to see Brooks get more touches and Chubba continue to hammer defenses. Then this approaching offseason, let's go back to the D and work on fixing it.
    • Prime is already gone boss.  Nothing left for team Sanders in college football.
    • Justin Fields’ fifth-year option was declined by the Steelers in April. Without a new contract, he will be a free agent in March. I am pulling for Bryce Young to look good the rest of the season, but if he doesn't, how many of you would be on board for the Panthers to try signing Justin Fields?
