Kid sees Cam on Plane... writes him a note

And I spoke to someone that is famous but not in the sports world. They say they try to blend in as much as possible in public places (good luck Cam). Because If you stop and sign autographs or take pictures your draw attention and people start to recognize you and before you know it you are surrounded.

i can sympathize with celebrities who get pissy when they're just out somewhere trying to enjoy themselves or with their family.  not the kind of poo michael jordan allegedly does but i can understand turning down an autograph or a photo.

i was in a really small diner at the outer banks one time and ed o'neill (yes, al bundy) of all people was there.  he was just trying to eat his breakfast and the dozen or so people in that place were straight up hounding him for autographs and pictures.

I would pie this twice if I could. Really cool move by the kid

I have to caveat my reply as I am an admitted poo-hole and it is a Monday morning and hence, a perfect storm, but if I were in their shoes I would try to avoid people and probably would not be all that nice about it.  Even training camp. If you think of it people come to your place of work and bother you....  Most people I work with bother me anyway but then through in a bunch of douches poking around and hanging out.  It would drive me crazy.  I know this is a total one-sided take but I am exaggerating for the purpose of clarity.

These guys do a lot and sometimes go out of their way for people but what usually gets noticed is the one time out of a hundred they avoid someone or decline.

Well training camp is a struggle for him. He has a lot of people in his camp depending on his success. He has a career and legacy he is trying to build. He's trying to understand the offense and his teammates. He's trying to stay healthy because the team depends on him completely.

Then he has fans driving all day from Alabama and this is the only practice they can make because they can't afford to miss work and they expect Cam to sign their Helmet. When he doesn't they go yell something at him, post it on facebook, or call in to Paul Finebaum which his extended family hears.

It's tough, I've heard Cam talk about it. He tries to pick someone every 10 yards but he needs to hit the training room after practice.

he wasn't a real kid.

This.

If you google it, you will find that a real authentic kid confronted him him at an airport about a bunch of stuff that a kid should know, and he started crying and ran away.
