Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Saw it last night. A bit predictable with a typical moral message sent throughout the movie but highly entertaining and the CGI is amazing. I thought there was more of a connection with the ape characters than the humans but that may have been by design. Very entertaining and definitely worth seeing.

I just rewatched ROTPOTA, as much as I liked it the first time I hated it the second time...then I watched this and it confirmed all my hate.

Monkey jumps on a mustang and the grill falls off because...ford.

LOL

One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. And I was skeptical since James Franco wasn't coming back for it.. It'll be more than a trilogy I think, like the first Planet of The Apes Series that had 5 movies. I love Andy Serkis as Caesar.

Wasn't it a bit predictable that Caesar wasn't dead?

Yeah... If he was dead this movie would've had to be the last movie and you know the studios don't pass up sequel money on franchises like this.

the one scene where they almost lost me because it suddenly felt like a Robert Rodriquez film was when Koba was riding a horse with not one but TWO high powered guns in each hand/paw.

a guy two seats over from did in fact ROFL when that scene happend.

Anyone besides me old enough to have seen the first planet of the apes in a movie theartre when it was first released ? You know the one with Charleton Heston ? That movie was some real ground breaking stuff back then.

I only saw it as a kid a couple of yrs after on CBS Sat night movie. It had a profound impact on me.

My dad did see it in the theatre and said people were in stunned silence at the end.
