How long will it take before the Charlotte Hornets have a star of their own?

Honestly this is a real curious question for me. I been watching a little bit of the summer league action the past couple of days and watching Jabari and Wiggins play didn't make things any better for me. Truthfully i still feel cheated when we missed out on Anthony Davis a couple of years back. One day eventually I hope we can get our guy.

MJ and Cho can't make up their mind. A small market team like us should've built through the draft. But, making bad picks didnt help so they panicked and turn to Free Agency ( Al ). Now, they're not sure what they wanna do again. Panicking in FA now and not wanting to go after Lance.

Don't get me wrong i love big AL and i love his old man game. I don't know if I can say AL is a Star in my opinion. He is definitely a very good player and can give you 20 and 10 when healthy. But can you see him as the guy that can carry the Hornets through the playoffs and to the finals? I mean the East is starting to get a little bit tough.

I get what you're saying, Al is a really good player but he's a B-list star. I don't expect we will have a superstar anytime in the near to intermediate future.

There are only two of those in the entire NBA.  James and Durant

    • The issue is the formula is secret, and it incorporates runs... So... Yup, it does. Same with PFF (which isn't quite as secret). But when it doesn't - like on Sunday - it's often to hilarious results. PFF is more reliable I think at matching my 'eye' test.
    • According to the talking heads of the sports world, this is a pretty meh QB class.  Sanders and Ward are the only two with first round buzz, but the rest are blah.  Take that for what you will. Let's see how Bryce does in year three.  That's just where we are.  Patience is the key here.  Players need time to develop.  They can't develop if they don't play.  Bryce has made some really good throws, but he doesn't look like CJ Stroud.  That's going to be his point of comparison the rest of their careers.  The ball doesn't explode off Bryce's hand, it's not a cannon ball shot out of a cannon.  He's not going to break a 70 yard run.   Bryce is going to have to continue to make good throws and make plays.  Part of that is going to depend on the play calls.  Part of it is based on the skill players.  A couple drops picked up yesterday and it's a win and Bryce throws 1-2 more TDs.  A completely different story. It's been a crazy year indeed.  I just want to see Bryce continue to develop.  To see XL become more consistent.  To see JT fully recover (not play this season if he's not healthy).  I want to see Coker continue to make plays.  I'd love to see Brooks get more touches and Chubba continue to hammer defenses. Then this approaching offseason, let's go back to the D and work on fixing it.
    • Prime is already gone boss.  Nothing left for team Sanders in college football.
