Hornets sign Brian Roberts

Good pickup and I'm happy this is who we got over DJ, especially if Hinrich was off the table.

Marvin (Vonleh/Zeller)

Jefferson (Zeller/Biz)

 

I mean if you look at last season, it's arguably comparable or better if I may say so myself.  If we get Stephenson it's a biiig boost, but if not, we're still in shot for a 5-7 seed imo especially if Vonleh contributes well his first season.  Yeah Marvin is nothing to run home about but we have two other very young guys at the spot we're trying to see can be effective.  Marvin makes sense.

 

We needed a backup PG, so we grabbed one in Roberts.  Completely viable option.  Every team can't expect to be like the Suns.

Considering you can only have 12 players in a game I see Biz, Neal or PJ being inactive. If we do end up signing lance or a big name FA I assume it will mean Taylor will be inactive as well.

Also I believe if we don't sign Lance then we still have a shot a being a top 4 team if...

MKG gets a jumpshot. There has been news saying MKG has been working on his jumpshot this offseason.

Vonleh or Zeller can put up good numbers. Zeller did improve as time went by. Vonleh is still an unknown.

I believe we can still do well if PJ doesn't get a lot of playing time this year. We do have Neal who can shoot so I don't see him as an necessity for success however It would be great to see him do well this year.

That's true.  

 

If Taylor is inactive, there will be a decent amount of pressure on MKG to really step it up offensively this season.  I know a lot of focus is on Lance, which it should be, but SF is still a need but I'm talking a FA that still gives MKG the chance to prove his worth.  

 

Is CD-R coming back?
