LVSL: Charlotte Hornets (0-1) vs. Sacramento Kings (0-1)

First half observations.

Coaching like last game has been terrible. Is Ewing even coaching or just there to watch? No set plays, questionable lineups and rotation, etc. Need to be getting Hairston and Vonleh most of the set plays with other guys getting looks based on the said plays.

Refs are calling way to many tick tack fouls.

Hairston is still in a funk and forcing some shots. I like that he is attacking off the dribble and drawing fouls. Just hasnt made his FT's.

Vonleh looks better tonight, not quite as sluggish as the other day. Still rather emotionless. Still need to see more in the way of blocks and altering shots down low.

Now I see why SAC drafted Staus even though they have BM. BM is hot garbage. Not a good shooter as he was billed and just doesnt have a good feel for the game on top of having a weak handle.

Stauskas, man dude can stroke it. Real smart and efficient player. Still a little upset we didnt get him. Hopefully Vonleh develops into the better player, but I am not sure that is gonna happen just due to how good of a player I think Staus will be.

    • According to the talking heads of the sports world, this is a pretty meh QB class.  Sanders and Ward are the only two with first round buzz, but the rest are blah.  Take that for what you will. Let's see how Bryce does in year three.  That's just where we are.  Patience is the key here.  Players need time to develop.  They can't develop if they don't play.  Bryce has made some really good throws, but he doesn't look like CJ Stroud.  That's going to be his point of comparison the rest of their careers.  The ball doesn't explode off Bryce's hand, it's not a cannon ball shot out of a cannon.  He's not going to break a 70 yard run.   Bryce is going to have to continue to make good throws and make plays.  Part of that is going to depend on the play calls.  Part of it is based on the skill players.  A couple drops picked up yesterday and it's a win and Bryce throws 1-2 more TDs.  A completely different story. It's been a crazy year indeed.  I just want to see Bryce continue to develop.  To see XL become more consistent.  To see JT fully recover (not play this season if he's not healthy).  I want to see Coker continue to make plays.  I'd love to see Brooks get more touches and Chubba continue to hammer defenses. Then this approaching offseason, let's go back to the D and work on fixing it.
    • Prime is already gone boss.  Nothing left for team Sanders in college football.
    • Justin Fields’ fifth-year option was declined by the Steelers in April. Without a new contract, he will be a free agent in March. I am pulling for Bryce Young to look good the rest of the season, but if he doesn't, how many of you would be on board for the Panthers to try signing Justin Fields?
