LVSL: Charlotte Hornets (0-1) vs. Sacramento Kings (0-1)

You're right, he's not going against the best. However, my concern was his shot transferring to the NBA level (i.e. Jimmer Fredette). I think it's a pretty foregone conclusion that it has.

Jimmer is not a good comparison.

Jimmer is undersized and one dimensional.

Mcbuckets has the size and can score from all over the court.

Just lacks good lateral quickness and vert.

It wasn't a comparison. It was a matter of if McDermott's shot would transfer to the NBA as a perimeter player. I've shot a three pointer on an NBA court and that three extra feet (three point line) makes a HUGE difference. Some guys can't handle it. To me it's clear McDermott can.

PJ was drafted at the end of the first round. They picked him to come off the bench & do one thing, make 3s.

Vs Kings:

6-13 3-pt FG

PJ is gonna be fine. Yeah, he has a poor attitude. Yeah, he's a bad defender. Yeah, he doesn't get rebounds or assists & pretty much just jacks up jump shots.

Who cares? That's all we need from him right now. We were one of the worst 3pt shooting teams in the league. He's gonna immediately step in & be able to light it up.

PJ- the next JR Smith

    • The issue is the formula is secret, and it incorporates runs... So... Yup, it does. Same with PFF (which isn't quite as secret). But when it doesn't - like on Sunday - it's often to hilarious results. PFF is more reliable I think at matching my 'eye' test.
    • According to the talking heads of the sports world, this is a pretty meh QB class.  Sanders and Ward are the only two with first round buzz, but the rest are blah.  Take that for what you will. Let's see how Bryce does in year three.  That's just where we are.  Patience is the key here.  Players need time to develop.  They can't develop if they don't play.  Bryce has made some really good throws, but he doesn't look like CJ Stroud.  That's going to be his point of comparison the rest of their careers.  The ball doesn't explode off Bryce's hand, it's not a cannon ball shot out of a cannon.  He's not going to break a 70 yard run.   Bryce is going to have to continue to make good throws and make plays.  Part of that is going to depend on the play calls.  Part of it is based on the skill players.  A couple drops picked up yesterday and it's a win and Bryce throws 1-2 more TDs.  A completely different story. It's been a crazy year indeed.  I just want to see Bryce continue to develop.  To see XL become more consistent.  To see JT fully recover (not play this season if he's not healthy).  I want to see Coker continue to make plays.  I'd love to see Brooks get more touches and Chubba continue to hammer defenses. Then this approaching offseason, let's go back to the D and work on fixing it.
    • Prime is already gone boss.  Nothing left for team Sanders in college football.
