Why wouldn't Carmelo be playing for the Nets? Believe he was born and raised there. If not them, then the Knicks. Some of these teams don't make a lot of sense. Some of these teams don't make a lot of sense, then again I think the guy putting it together, was trying to create a full team and some teams were probably more stacked in certain positions than others. I think that was the case with the New York clubs, and maybe even the Hornets. 

 

As far as this actually happening, Lebron's situation was so unique. I mean, New York can survice without Kemba Walker coming home.  I been to Northeast Ohio and they need Lebron. A lot different of a situation.

Anthony was born in Brooklyn but grew up in the DMV area.

Kind of like Jordan... He was born in Brooklyn but grew up in the Wilmington area.

My team is facing adversity with an uncertain future, so I'm gonna ditch them and run back to a team I previously deserted now that they have a loaded roster.

It is a fail proof strategy. Desert your team and let them suck out loud for a few years and bring in young assets and then return.

If Miami hadn't retooled with Bosh, Deng, and Wade, Lebron could just go back there in two years.

Cleveland was at the bottom of a short list of teams if all that mattered was roster & winning.  Houston, LAC, Phoenix, even Chi are all better landing places to win a championship.
