Hornets Sign Marvin Williams

Recommended Posts

You're smarter than Cho, fully understand contracts, know what it takes to lure players to Charlotte, and know who fits in well for the team......we get it already.

Cho is irrelevant. The facts are obvious.

I don't need a meteorologist to tell you it's raining outside, and I don't need Cho to tell you that Marvin was overpaid.

Take that kind of thinking to someone who cares about who someone is. I don't.

The only "fact" is that Cho made a decision to sign him playing with a full deck of information. You are giving your opinion with, what, maybe 10% of the info that he used?

We all have heard your opinion repeatedly. Time to move on. There's a reason why you aren't a GM....or a meteorologist.

The reason is because I neither want to be nor need to be to know that Marvin Williams is overpaid.

Are you one of those brain-dead morons who also believes that no one should critique a U.S. President since they are not, never have been and never will be the President? A President that "they like," because criticizing one they don't like will be fine to them.

Same faulty way of thinking you're demonstrating here. Your standards shift based on your sentiments, which makes you the problem.

If Cho ever said that Williams wasn't "overpaid," that would be his opinion. Other GMs would disagree, especially those who got similar players for much less. Who's right?

Anyone who thinks that everything that comes out of Cho's mouth is a "fact" is a moron. I don't care who you trust, so I also don't need to hear about whose opinion you trust more. That's irrelevant to logic.

To suggest that I "like being contrarian" is to imply that my behavior is in some way based on yours.

I'm not thinking about you one bit when I say what I do, or else I would disagree with every post I see just for the sake of it.

When you show gaps in your thinking, I address it. I am a "clarifier," not a "contrarian," because you are irrelevant. Your thinking is as irrelevant as your time.

But yeah, I don't care if everyone says something, everyone can be wrong. Everyone saying that the world was flat didn't make it so, and most people here saying that Williams' contract was fine, doesn't make it so.

Anyone who expects others to get onboard with a position even if it's ridiculous, just because more people share it, is a problem in life.

lol. The entire bases for your mentality is that you think you are always right.

Marvin Williams the man will be worth $7M alone just to be a strong veteran presence in the very young locker room, especially around Lance & PJ. I'm sure he'll take fellow UNC guy PJ under his wing & really help him out. He's also gonna be a very good player on the court.

Marvin is being hated on because he was an elite prospect that was drafted #2 as a frosh & expected to be an all star. Just because he isn't the star many expected doesn't mean he sucks. He's a very good player, and probably the 4th best player overall on our team right now. He's gonna step in & average around 14/7. He'll be worth every penny.

No, there is no "basis" to "my" mentality, because I am as irrelevant as the rest of you are.

Logic is what it is, and that is my goal. I never said I always achieve it.

    • The issue is the formula is secret, and it incorporates runs... So... Yup, it does. Same with PFF (which isn't quite as secret). But when it doesn't - like on Sunday - it's often to hilarious results. PFF is more reliable I think at matching my 'eye' test.
    • According to the talking heads of the sports world, this is a pretty meh QB class.  Sanders and Ward are the only two with first round buzz, but the rest are blah.  Take that for what you will. Let's see how Bryce does in year three.  That's just where we are.  Patience is the key here.  Players need time to develop.  They can't develop if they don't play.  Bryce has made some really good throws, but he doesn't look like CJ Stroud.  That's going to be his point of comparison the rest of their careers.  The ball doesn't explode off Bryce's hand, it's not a cannon ball shot out of a cannon.  He's not going to break a 70 yard run.   Bryce is going to have to continue to make good throws and make plays.  Part of that is going to depend on the play calls.  Part of it is based on the skill players.  A couple drops picked up yesterday and it's a win and Bryce throws 1-2 more TDs.  A completely different story. It's been a crazy year indeed.  I just want to see Bryce continue to develop.  To see XL become more consistent.  To see JT fully recover (not play this season if he's not healthy).  I want to see Coker continue to make plays.  I'd love to see Brooks get more touches and Chubba continue to hammer defenses. Then this approaching offseason, let's go back to the D and work on fixing it.
    • Prime is already gone boss.  Nothing left for team Sanders in college football.
