Hornets Sign Marvin Williams

It's very easy to use this as an "out" when you can't form a good argument to support your case.

It's pretty simple. This team needs people who can successfully pass the basketball, and they just signed a 2-year insurance policy against Zeller and Vonleh's inexperience who can't pass well and has a considerable recent injury history.

Whenever you recognize those as facts, taking the baby-blue blinders off isn't nearly as difficult. Williams was a decent signing at $4m/yr. At $7m/yr, absolutely not.

Great analysis. You really did present a strong case there. Please send your resume in to replace Cho.

I really like the deal Humphries got.

3yrs/$4.3 per.... that's a sweetheart contract.

I know right. I just don't know why we signed Marvin. I guess bc he's a stretch 4 and more versatile but still. Kinda upsetting knowing both those power forwards are Making 5 mil and 4.3 mil and M. Williams is Making 7

Y'all are still bitching over Marvin's contract? If he gets over 30 minutes like McBob did, he'll average 12-14 Pts 6-8 Reb per game. He's well worth the money as a mentor and stop gap until Zeller/Vonleh are ready. Marvin is literally one of the best character/locker room guys in the league. He'll be a great influence for Lance/PJ, too.

Seriously. It's not like we just gave Miami Chris Bosh a max deal...
