This means that the a Rockets are moving on from Parsons and that Dallas will no longer be interested in Stephenson due to acquiring Parsons.

Gasol also just signed with Chicago eliminating their cap space.

Lance's choices are down to Charlotte or Indiana.

Also this helps weaken the east even more. Ariza played very well last yr and that is a big loss for the Wizards. They now have to hope Otto Porter can figure out how to play basketball

in an offseason where almost every free agent is being overpaid, $8m a year for ariza is pretty reasonable.... get the feeling that the rockets are still after another mid-level player, although im not sure who else would available for them

I'd be surprised if Houston matched Parson's offer. $77 million solely on small forwards would be ridiculous. I guess they could play Parsons as a stretch four but he will get abused on defense.

could either parsons or ariza play the four? i know parsons is listed as 6"9 but he looks like he could get beaten up against PF's. would there be much point in the rockets spending $23m a year on two guys who play the same position?

I'd love to see Parsons try to matchup with Griffin, Aldridge, Love, Duncan, etc...

He doesn't have the body to be a stretch four in the west.
