Statistical Analysis of 7 Young QBs

Are you semi retarded? Or just desperate to try and win an internet debate? I only brought up that ONE stat, because thats the ONE topic he was talking about in that thread. Interceptions. Period.

Wow. So while some of you fail miserably at math, you're dragging the team down in comprehension. This thread is really shedding a negative light on you southerners.

And I'm talking about the paragraph I quoted first when you state you are using stats to say Cam has gotten worse over the last 3 years. Talk about semi retarded.

Cam had more yards, completions and total TDs in 2011 than he did in 2013. So according to your guy's 'precious stats', hes gotten worse.

The fug?

Lmao. I give up. Someone else teach this Boce how comprehension works. What's wrong? Mad that your "stats tell all" mentality doesn't work when it can be used against you?

But i'm sorry. I should have seen this homerific thread a mile away and known well enough to let you kids have your fun and try not to present logic and reasoning.

Steven A. Smith brings up some bullshit stat that claims RGIII is the best young QB in the league and every huddler here makes a 3 paragraph post about how useless stats are and how they don't tell the whole story. But then someone finds some stats that hit home with all of you and actually shed good light on Cam and suddenly its taken as the word of god. Im sorry for interupting. Go have your fun.

Thats literally what i was attempting to point out pages ago. If you use stats to say whose better, you're A) a fugging moron, and B) uninformed. So according to all people here, starting from this point forward we ARE using stats? Ok cool. So now Nick Foles is better than Cam, and Cam has gotten worse over the last 3 years. Because thats what the stats say. Have fun guys :) this game is fun.

Please go ahead and show us the stats that say he has gotten worse over the last 3 years.

Unless you are attempting to argue that less total yards overall means he regressed, which would be silly to say the least.

His TD to INT ratio has improved each season, his yardage averages have been basically the same all three seasons (7-8 passing, 5-6 rushing), his completion percentage in 2013 was better than his rookie and sophomore season, and his QB rating has increased each season.

All I see you do is insulting others for apparently not knowing what they are talking about, but ironically you don't yourself.

Amazing = omg! something actually looks good for us! Lets blindly follow it and celebrate even though we've done nothing but bash this in the past!

it was a fun thread that basically backed up my "the eye test" with stats.

RW and Cam are the top young qbs in the league. I think andrew luck is going to be an absolute baller but when i see headlines like "his legend grows" i just roll my eyes cause he is not even close to being there yet......and neither is Cam or RW.

but like in almost every thread you post in people are just idiots. so good day bud have fun knowing you are so much smarter than everybody else.

Lmfao. Hey idiot, you're making my argument for me. Cam is much better now than he was years ago. That's the exact point I was making. His raw numbers (yards, completions, total TDs) looked better in 2011 but your eyeballs and brain tell you hes better now.

And let me get this straight, you call 'total yards' silly because youre not taking anything in context. Yet you are fully in favor of 'total INTs' without context? Good logic :)

I'm not even sure if you undestand the point you are trying to make anymore. First you say stats don't matter, now you say they do.

Total yards mean absolutely dick if you aren't putting points up on the board, and you obviously can't put points on the board if you are turning the ball over at a high rate. Like Andrew Luck was in his first two seasons. You can rage all you want, but 35 INT's in 2 seasons is high.

To clear up some things, I didn't do nick Foles because the dude has only played one season. Not enough stats and god knows if he can repeat what he did last year. I'm not ready to put him in this list of QBs until he gets 2 years under his belt. Hell, Derek Anderson had 1 good year when he was younger, and no one is calling him one of the best QBs in the league.

And as for the dude that was saying compare cam's most recent seasons, Here's how everything plays out:

Rushing stays the same

Luck actually drops in almost everything, and Cam actually rises in almost everything. His efficiency, and his passing both jump, and his ball security jumps substantially... So... Yeah... He's actually gotten more efficient. And that's cool that you don't like stats and using them makes me "a moron" but i think it's a quick and easy way to gauge where the QBs are... And i never used total yards in passing or rushing, I used averages over that span because it's a better indicator of what they did. Anyone who says that if you look at cam's stats he looks worse, hasn't looked at his stats...
