Statistical Analysis of 7 Young QBs

This is how I would rank based on what I've seen.

Newton

Wilson

Foles

I would put those in the top 3. Newton and Wilson have shown they are consistently good. It's really a toss up between those two. I see them as just about equally good. Foles has the potential to be #1 though if he shows last year wasn't a fluke.

After that I would rank them as:

Luck

Dalton

RG3

Kaepernick

Tannehill

No offense to the OP because it was great work, but I refuse to believe RG3 is top 3 based on the games I've seen him in. Out of the ones I've seen, he doesn't have good decision making and makes a lot of arid throws. It's a toss up between Kaperdick and RG3. I think they're both equally bad.

Tannehill looks promising. I'd like to see what he could do with a better team around him before ranking him higher.

As always, Luck is the most overrated young QB in the league. Yes he's good, but not as good as the media makes him out to be. 8 interceptions in 3 playoff games is really all you need to know. I sometimes wonder how things would be if Peyton never was the QB for the Colts and Luck was still drafted by the Colts. Would he still be put on his pedestal? I think most of his hype comes from the coat tails of Manning. He somehow fills the void left behind. Dalton could also be higher than Luck if he played better in the playoffs.

Anyway, good job OP

TheRed is right...ouch my soul. You can't say stats don't matter then in the next breath use stats to make your argument. Either they don't matter or they do you can't have it both ways.

Thats literally what i was attempting to point out pages ago. If you use stats to say whose better, you're A) a fugging moron, and B) uninformed. So according to all people here, starting from this point forward we ARE using stats? Ok cool. So now Nick Foles is better than Cam, and Cam has gotten worse over the last 3 years. Because thats what the stats say. Have fun guys :) this game is fun.

You can't put emotion in stats like you just did. Your statement about Cam is wrong. How did you come to that conclusion? Was it just to stir the pot?

Yes, you're right, that information I gave you wasn't an opinion, it was actual facts. Unlike the information you are trying to peddle here.

I hate to break it to you, but there is only one person in this thread having a meltdown right now, that's you. OP here actually took the time to research, and present his information. All you have done is come along and poo on it with hostility and make believe stats with no sources.

Im literally enbarrassed for you right now. You have no clue how sad this is. Once you reach high school and take advanced statistics, I dare you to come back and read your posts.

So according to you gross data > net data? Lmao. Good times.

Haha what? How does 'law of average" = emotion? I didn't create the mathmatical fomula. That was done centuries ago. Sorry.

Emotion?

Cam had more yards, completions and total TDs in 2011 than he did in 2013. So according to your guy's 'precious stats', hes gotten worse.

Obviously anyone who has watched him play the last 3 years knows hes much better now. But according to the last 4 people who commented to me, raw stat data is the only way we are can base our conclusions on. So yes, as i said, no emotion invloved, just stats.

You're picking a stat that looks like to support your argument, but really doesn't tell the whole picture. You cherry picked that stat because you are trying to not look like a fool, but you already do. If you really were in favor of stats, you'd bring up more than 1 and present the data.  Stats that show the bigger picture.

If you hated Joe Montana, you could cherry pick some stats from him to make him look like the worse QB in NFL history in order to fit your hate-filled argument.

This is kind of similar to what you're doing. Instead you're trying to drive home your stat because you're using emotion against the one who is disagreeing with you.

This post falls into the same area as I just posted

Are you semi retarded? Or just desperate to try and win an internet debate? I only brought up that ONE stat, because thats the ONE topic he was talking about in that thread. Interceptions. Period.

Wow. So while some of you fail miserably at math, you're dragging the team down in comprehension. This thread is really shedding a negative light on you southerners.
