Statistical Analysis of 7 Young QBs

Great great thread. Now all this needs to translate to wins. Just like it did last season. Unfortunately the media cares about wins. His first two season, Cam Newton was the forgotten child. Why? Because the records were 6-10 and 7-9. Now a 12-4 season and the media will talk about him in a good light. I know we have a special kid on our team. I hope he stays here and wins at least 1 lombardi.

Nick Foles had better stats last year than Cam. Which one would you rather have?

Point being, If you use stats to tell you who's best, you're going to be wrong much more than right. Cam could be the best of this group, or dead last. Either way, "stats" don't tell you that. Play on the field does. Stats tell you that RGIII was the best QB in the league in 2012.

Pie for time/effort.

Yet you were quoting stats in that other thread. Just stop it. You are just mad your boyfriend Andrew Luck is not the top qb of the bunch even with the statistics.

The top of the bunch? Says who? 1,000 panther fans? Or the rest of the world?

The only "stat" i used was to call out complete bullsh*t some guy was spewing. He called Luck an "interception machine." I then informed him that Luck throws one INT every 63 passes, while Cam throws one every 36 passes. So i simply told him that if Luck is the "interception machine", id hate to hear what he calls Cam.

Good try tho.

Andrew Luck threw 35 interceptions in his first two seasons. While Cam Newton had 29. I wouldn't call Luck an "interception machine" necessarily, he's a very good QB in my opinion, but your one interception every however many passes stat is just a poor attempt to deflect.

And I only did this because there is nothing new being posted on here and the only thing people are talking about are Johnny Football and how Luck doesn't deserve the love.

My eyes were rolling around in my head after reading this.  Trying to judge where E was going to end up.  And then trying to figure out who everyone else was.

Amazing job and informative. This is probably the best way to evaluate the New Age QBs.  Those 7 are solid QBs that should be playing this game 10 years from now.

I was happy to see Cam come out on top.  Of all the stats I like the variation stat you posted later on.  When you are in the top 3 by average in each category you are doing something right.

Great post again and thanks for trying to give us junkies a minor fix.  You gave us something worth while to read as we turn down the home stretch for training camp.

Wow. This is actually kind of embarrassing. So according to you. A QB who throws 5 passes and 3 of them are intercepted, is BETTER than a guy who throws 500 passes and 5 are intercepted.

"Poor attempt to deflect..." Lmfao. You're right. Who needs reasoning and context when evaluating?

Stay away from math and logic for a while. K guy?

Did I say anything about one being better than the other? So you have no opinion or comments on the information I provided you with then?

You do realize that if you are looking for people to blindly worship Andrew Luck, you are not on a Colts forum. Right?

My opinion? What are you talking about? One of those numbers being better than the other isnt an opinion. 2+2 equalling 4 isn't an opinion. The number 6 being > than the number 4 isn't an opinion. These are facts. Its called math.

You completely embarrassing yourself by claiming real facts using context and reasoning are just poor attempts at deflection and attempting to undermine real-world mathmatics, shows all I need to know about where you're at mentally. Thanks. Take care.

Yes, you're right, that information I gave you wasn't an opinion, it was actual facts. Unlike the information you are trying to peddle here.

I hate to break it to you, but there is only one person in this thread having a meltdown right now, that's you. OP here actually took the time to research, and present his information. All you have done is come along and poo on it with hostility and make believe stats with no sources.

The OP took the time to analyze using actual statistics. I don't know why the statistics that you are using to reinforce your argument is better than what the OP did. His statistics are more indepth and analyze a whole host of factors. And those factors say that Andrew Luck is below Cam Newton as a QB. He even did it blindly for you to see, there really is no room for interpretation.
