Hornets trying to acquire Hinrich

People's inability to comprehend is ridiculous. It should've been clear to anyone that I was not arguing over how much Henderson makes versus Hinrich. It's all about Henderson being gone and freeing up his cap space to sign anyone. Hinrich, or anyone else. I don't care who. Even if you don't sign anyone, I still would rather have the $6M free.

Yeah but like you implied, who is gong to take Henderson? He's a sixth or seventh man making $6 mil a year.

I don't think anyone would be interested in him (actually his contract) until next year when it's an expiring contract.

Right now, we should put him to succeed (i.e. coming off the bench).

You guys kill me with the Henderson hate. He is an average nba player. Not great. Not horrible.

STFU about him being the worst ever.

I have been consistent about this Scarlet Letter of a player for the last 2 years.

1. If Henderson is your starter, drafting MKG was dumb. Said that leading up to the 2012 Draft. They did it, I didn't. I expected Henderson to be traded since it was obviously a bad "fit." He wasn't. They made bad choices, I have been proven right.

2. Same thing when Henderson's contract was up. I said don't re-sign him. It's not that I hate "him," as much as it's clear that he is not a good "fit" if you're talking about trying to develop Kidd-Gilchrist. No one was really interested in Henderson, and even though they screwed up the 2012 Draft, they re-signed him anyway, and not to an "anything you can get" contract, either. They gave the guy $6M a year like he had some value across the league. That's some Marty Hurney crap, right there.

Every time I look at Henderson, I see the 2012 Draft and how bad a fit "MKG" was if Henderson was the other starter, and the fact that they re-signed him for no reason at all.

He is the Hornets' "Scarlet Letter."

Again, no fault of his own, but why should I care about that? His $6M should've never been put on the books last year.

I've been right each time. They've been wrong. You want to try to "correct" someone, email [email protected]

Henderson's contract isn't that bad. He's a plus defender. People get so mad about his offensive game, but this team made it's bones on defense most of last year.

Plus, we have to spend the money anyway. It's not like we could have turned our cap space into Love and Lebron.

The Hornets don't need Love or LeBron to achieve their goals.

Henderson's $6M could be better utilized.

Why we will need him. We are better with him this year than without him. If Hayward does come then we can have Hendo as our 4th option. PJ hasn't proved anything and his trouble run doesn't look good for his future. We will have better depth with Hendo as well.

Literally every thread in this forum ends up digressing into petty arguments and CAPITAL LETTERS AND EXCLAMATION POINTS AND BOLD LETTERS BECAUSE I'M TRYING TO MAKE A POINT, DANGIT.

It's getting old. It's a message board discussing the signing of a backup point guard with strangers behind a user name. There's no need to run threads off the rails to win an internet argument.

Really like Hinrich. Hope this happens.

    • According to the talking heads of the sports world, this is a pretty meh QB class.  Sanders and Ward are the only two with first round buzz, but the rest are blah.  Take that for what you will. Let's see how Bryce does in year three.  That's just where we are.  Patience is the key here.  Players need time to develop.  They can't develop if they don't play.  Bryce has made some really good throws, but he doesn't look like CJ Stroud.  That's going to be his point of comparison the rest of their careers.  The ball doesn't explode off Bryce's hand, it's not a cannon ball shot out of a cannon.  He's not going to break a 70 yard run.   Bryce is going to have to continue to make good throws and make plays.  Part of that is going to depend on the play calls.  Part of it is based on the skill players.  A couple drops picked up yesterday and it's a win and Bryce throws 1-2 more TDs.  A completely different story. It's been a crazy year indeed.  I just want to see Bryce continue to develop.  To see XL become more consistent.  To see JT fully recover (not play this season if he's not healthy).  I want to see Coker continue to make plays.  I'd love to see Brooks get more touches and Chubba continue to hammer defenses. Then this approaching offseason, let's go back to the D and work on fixing it.
    • Prime is already gone boss.  Nothing left for team Sanders in college football.
    • Justin Fields’ fifth-year option was declined by the Steelers in April. Without a new contract, he will be a free agent in March. I am pulling for Bryce Young to look good the rest of the season, but if he doesn't, how many of you would be on board for the Panthers to try signing Justin Fields?
