PJ's Agent not certified

RoaringRiot

Recommended Posts

Well if you bring me to the office for my son being friends with a kid who got into a fight I would probably cuss you out and tell you not to waste my time and only contact me when MY SON actually does something.

This is exactly why I didn't have a rebuttal. You can't really be this naive.

He has yet to actually do any criminal or suspendable offenses. People need to cut him some slack.

No DUIs, no drug charges or failed tests, no assault charges, no gun charges etc.

Med, your homerism is ridiculous.

You won't find anyone that is a bigger fan of PJ than myself.  I suggested we draft him as soon as he was suspended from UNC.  I have touted him for a LONG TIME.  That being said, he is fuging up.

I have also defended him and mentioned that he doesn't have an actual criminal history, but just because you don't have charges that doesn't mean you're doing everything right either.  He's doing a lot of REALLY stupid things right now, and it's mainly because he's surrounded by a lot of REALLY stupid people.

I still fail to see how people can make excuses for P.J.

He's been charged with assault, he's gotten in trouble with drugs, driving without a license, then there is the whole gun mystery thing. Now we have the Josh Gordon ordeal and the agent problem.

Not to mention he is obviously still connected to people that he shouldn't be (A CONVICTED FELON). He has no reason to be in Durham or Greensboro. He is a CHARLOTTE Hornet... a CHARLOTTE Hornet.

I'm appalled that people are still making excuses for this kid. If this was my kid, I'd take him to get help right away.

And for heavens sake quit using the argument that he was never convicted. A conviction doesn't mean you didn't do anything wrong, it means you weren't caught.

You reading comprehension brah?

You bring me to the office about my son when my son hasnt violated any school rules.

Comparing apples to oranges.

You're making the wrong comparison.

I'm bringing you to the office to tell you your son is running with the wrong crowd and that judging by the pattern of his behaviors he's as close as he possibly can be to fugging up.

Your response is "he hasn't really done anything yet so don't bother me"

I have never said or claimed PJ is doing everything right. Hell I just got done saying in this thread he more than likely has questionable friends and is doing favors that are not so bright.

I disagree about doing alot of really stupid things.

1) He gets assaulted in a pickup game and people think he is not suppose to defend himself? Please.

2) He swaps cars with another pro athlete for the day. I mean this is kinda strange thing for normal people to do but I am sure pro athletes do this all the time.

3) Has an uncertified agent. PJ probably thought all the paper work and stuff was ok. Either way this is nothing on PJ. Hornets will have to pay a tiny fine and at worst PJ will get a new agent.

Like I said, I am gonna give him the benefit of doubt that he can keep his nose clean until proven otherwise. I will repeat, he has yet to EVER commit a suspendable, finable, or criminal offense.

And I will tell you thanks for your concern but I trust my son to walk a straight line as he always has and will continue to do until proven otherwise.

Med lol... I love your willingness to stick behind P.J., I was right there with you while he was at UNC. I thought it was a simple mistake.

However the signs are there. Your normal basketball player does not get into this much trouble or see this kind of questioning in a single offseason let alone a single week.

It's time to face the facts bud, P.J. has some serious maturity issues.

I am 28 and still probably have some maturity issues and have done and continue to do stupid things on a yearly basis. I dont let it affect my job or life though. Until PJ crosses that line I will give him the benefit of doubt.

Not defending him as much as thinking people are overreacting to every little thing.

This thread is a good example. He was likely lied to and its the Hornets job to verify agents.

Count the amount of posts that are pooing on Hairston and count the posts pooing on Hornets and tell me the ratio.

And local media that is scared to death that someone might call them a UNC homer has to crap on everything too, or else NC State fans will spit tobacco juice all in their face from yelling at them, then putting them in the flow chart as part of the cog in the grand UNC conspiracy headed by John Swofford that has infiltrated media, court rooms, NCAA, and law enforcement whose sole purpose is to keep the Wolfpack from rightly claiming "their state".

    • The issue is the formula is secret, and it incorporates runs... So... Yup, it does. Same with PFF (which isn't quite as secret). But when it doesn't - like on Sunday - it's often to hilarious results. PFF is more reliable I think at matching my 'eye' test.
    • According to the talking heads of the sports world, this is a pretty meh QB class.  Sanders and Ward are the only two with first round buzz, but the rest are blah.  Take that for what you will. Let's see how Bryce does in year three.  That's just where we are.  Patience is the key here.  Players need time to develop.  They can't develop if they don't play.  Bryce has made some really good throws, but he doesn't look like CJ Stroud.  That's going to be his point of comparison the rest of their careers.  The ball doesn't explode off Bryce's hand, it's not a cannon ball shot out of a cannon.  He's not going to break a 70 yard run.   Bryce is going to have to continue to make good throws and make plays.  Part of that is going to depend on the play calls.  Part of it is based on the skill players.  A couple drops picked up yesterday and it's a win and Bryce throws 1-2 more TDs.  A completely different story. It's been a crazy year indeed.  I just want to see Bryce continue to develop.  To see XL become more consistent.  To see JT fully recover (not play this season if he's not healthy).  I want to see Coker continue to make plays.  I'd love to see Brooks get more touches and Chubba continue to hammer defenses. Then this approaching offseason, let's go back to the D and work on fixing it.
    • Prime is already gone boss.  Nothing left for team Sanders in college football.
