Four Teams have Expressed Interest in Andre Johnson

Yeah I'm totally gonna give up the money I earned giving my all to the team and leading in almost every franchise receiving category. I'm selfish for keeping that money when the franchise can't get it's poo together to get a good to decent qb. I'm the asshole for wanting out or keeping my money.

What fantasy world do you live in?

Nobody said he was selfish for wanting to be paid well, or arguing that he didn't deserve the contract he has. What makes him look ridiculous is wanting to remain the highest paid player on his team while also wanting an infinite amount of talent around him. Can't always get both.

He's mad because his team can't find a QB worth a damn, but he conveniently ignores the fact that the majority of the Texans salary cap is tied up on him. Want better talent around you? Take a pay cut. Until then sitting out just makes him look pretty bad. That's all there is to it.

You do realize he has restructured his deal a ton for his team over the years to help them with the cap. So yeah he has so that's not there is to it

Restructure does not mean taking a pay cut.

There is virtually no downside to a player agreeing to a restructure. They get more of the money they were already set to earn up front.

If you don't understand the difference between a restructure, and a pay cut, I can't help you. I'm sorry.

Yes it does! Your wrong they get less upfront so the total cap that year is less! Here look at the numbers yourself.

Remember players only actually get paid over time. So some get big early bonus' or big pays later. But players rarely get to the last few years that are in the contract which is why they have guaranteed money vs possible. They arnt getting their deals all in one lump sum or guaranteed to get it all at the end of their career.

So a guy with 78 posts is telling me the definition of "pay cut" has changed? Okay, I'll believe that. Thank you sir.

Two things. One you can post a thousand full of poo posts more posts doesn't make you smarter. Two I'm saying he took less money in years they needed him to. Which isn't a pay cut true. Buuuuut it is him taking less money in a year to help his team. Which proves both your assumption he's taking all the cap is wrong and that he doesn't care about his team.

I'm trying to go easy on you here, but you've already flip flopped from saying he did take a pay cut, to now saying he didn't.

If you are going to lecture someone, at least understand what you are talking about first, which clearly you don't.

If somebody doesn't realize restructuring is bad for the cap and they are panther fans then they obviously have not been paying attention to this team or understand why we are fuged right now with the cap

Specifically it's bad in the long run, vs the short term. In the short term it's good in the long run it's bad. But the idea every player will get all the money at the end of the contract is bull and rarely happens. Other then guaranteed money they rarely get the rest, pay attention to the previous strike and the complaints there in of actual pay vs "future pay"
