Slipped over to jazzfanz for some Jazz perspective...

Just stop. Pj will not start this year. WILL NOT. Doubt the way he's starting off that we even keep him long. Only way he starts is if our shooting guards blow out their knees all at the same exact time in coordinated fashion. What's your fascination with him starting.

Um Pj could easily be starting by mid season.

Why, well because he is more talented and a better fit than Hendo.

Rookie or not.

He is more talented shooting than Hendo. That's about all you can give him at this point. Stop deluding yourself into thinking PJ is going to start this year. The only way he will is with an injury. I'm not even convinced he can keep himself out of trouble enough to make a significant impact, he has shown us nothing to make us believe that.

If Hendo is alive and on this roster pj will not start this year.

If Hayward is dead and on this roster pj will not start this season.

If Adam Morrison is not too stoned and on this roster pj will not start.

I can keep going. Clifford ain't starting a rookie if he has veterans that are healthy. He sure as hell ain't starting one that can't keep his nose clean for the only week he was an actual hornet. He better shape up if he even wants to be around. Let alone start.

And scorer.

None of his offenses would be issues in the NBA.

Top 3 Seed

Indiana are the best team in the East at the minute if the big three leave Miami. And even if the big three stay, Indiana are young and improving, so they could surpass the Heat.

If LeBron heads to Cleveland, they should be a top three seed regardless of if they Kevin Love or not. But if he stays in Miami with Bosh and Wade, the Heat will be a top three seed again.

Then there is Chicago. If Rose is healthy they have an elite PG, and Noah is an elite C. If they manage to land some support in free agency they will be a top three seed next season.

So for me, the top three seeds are - Indiana, Chicago, and Miami/Cleveland. I think we are in the same tier as teams like Toronto and Washington, young teams looking to take that next step and could land the 4th seed. I wouldn't rule out improvement from Atlanta or Brooklyn, both have decent line ups and coaching staffs, so they could make a jump too.

Don't get me wrong. I think we have a good chance to improve on our 7th seeding. But it will take more than Hayward to make us jump into the top three.

Disagree on Indiana being the best team in the east. Lance isn't coming back and I think that will hurt them greatly. They are getting worse, not better. If LeBron goes to Cleveland than them and the Bulls are the top two teams with it being a crapshoot the rest of they way.
