Im still curious why the Jazz Match this offer?  obviously Hayward likes it here and not so much there, they didn't want to pay him less but are now willing to pay him more?  This sounds like toddlers not wanting a toy until another kid picks it up.

Utah has over $30mil in cap space. They have to spend money just to hit the cap floor. Who else are they gonna spend it on?

Charlotte is just making it look like they're trying to spend big. They know Utah isn't gonna let him walk. If Charlotte was serious about adding a piece they would've worked out a S&T or looked elsewhere if Utah wasn't interested.
