well it's a given that you won't be closed for an entire week, but it's not a given that you won't be closed for three or four days out of the year, so for businesses advertising hours the 365 part makes far more sense

This I can at least start to understand because advertisers must cater I the super slow parts of the crowd. But even then it's only a saying in marketing because it's a fairly well known term in social settings, which IMO it shouldn't be.
