Does this irk anybody else?

So I was reading an article about Dan Orlovsky saying that being an NFL quarterback is a 24/7/365 job.

I've felt for years that the saying 24/7/365 is stupid and the fact it is so widely accepted is astounding to me.

The saying should be 24/7/52. Because there are 24 hours in a day, 7 days in a week, and then 52 weeks in a year. It makes no sense to say there are 24 hours in a day, 7 days in a week, and 365 days in a year. You are using the days portion (speaking in increments of time measurement) kind of redundantly when used twice in this way.

Done correctly it should go up to the next unit of measurement. 24/7/52.

Yes this is a rambling of a crazy person, but this needed to be said.

well it's a given that you won't be closed for an entire week, but it's not a given that you won't be closed for three or four days out of the year, so for businesses advertising hours the 365 part makes far more sense
