Where are the action movies?

Ya gotta evaluate movies by guys like Schwarzanegger, Stallone and Norris for what they are.  It ain't Shakespeare.

 

That's not to say that all of their movies are crap (Demolition Man, for example, is pretty high concept for an action movie) but at the end of the day, you plunk down your cash to watch Chuck Norris kick somebody's ass, not discuss philosophy.

Story was good. Tom Cruise was just a little unbelievable as Jack Reacher. I've not read the books either

Dredd is a comic book adaptation...Although I liked that one too.

 

 

Yeah, Dredd is a good movie, much much better than the Stallone version. Should do a sequel for sure.

It was super long. But it gave fans what we always wanted. Autobots that don't just stand around or fire their guns. Marky fuging Mark firing Cybertronian at the bad guys. Optimus Prime flying around. And we're going into space!

Bruce goddamned Lee ....one of the baddest men alive...even kicked Chuck Norris's ass in a movie. Would have liked to see how movies would have changed if he lived longer.

I have heard decent things about Edge of Tomorrow but not gone to see it. Cruise and sci-fi is getting old.

Where? Back in the 90s where they belong. Arnold, Stalone, Van Dam, etc. (wow ... makes The Expendables seem even worse)
