Hornets Center Position in need of help?

Well, depending on how free agency works out, we might be able to keep him for depth or move Biyombo for a pick if the coaches like him better. I don't really know anything about the guy though. Care to elaborate?

Just go read up on him and look at his production. Kind of hard to elaborate on him being an elite shotblocker and good rebounder.

Think it is something in the tune of 4+ blocks a game and 8+ boards a game. Great instincts.

Jefferson is a top 3 Center.

Biyombo is a top 5 rim protector.

Zeller can play the 5 if needed.

Center is out strongest position, and it's not even close. Of course we will suck if Al gets hurt. Almost every team in the league would suck without their best player.

All done of y'all care about are points. There 5 guys on the court & only one ball. They don't all have to be scorers. Everybody wants to throw away MKG & Biz. They are 20 & 21 years old & both have tremendous potential. Go read other boards, several fan bases talk about how they'd love to get ahold of those guys. Let them develop.

A mod needs to ban this fool! He's trolling like crazy now.

You're correct. He isn't a top 5 rim protector. He's the top ranked rim protector last season.

"Bismack Biyombo is ahead of Roy Hibbert as the leagues best rim protector allowing 38.4% at the rim to Roy Hibbert's 41.3%.

Statistically speaking, Biyombo was the best rim protector in the NBA last season. He had a league best 38.4 opponent FG% at the rim. Roy Hibbert was second at around 42%.

Continue to bash our future core & act like Biz, MKG, etc suck. Reality is the front office would certainly disagree. Kemba, MKG, Vonleh, & Biz are the future of this team. Vonleh has Chris Bosh potential, & a Biz-Vonleh pairing inside has the potential to be devastating in 3-4 years.

Per 100 Possessions:

Bismack Biyombo- 17.7 Reb, 4.2 Blk

Serge Ibaka- 13.4 Reb, 4.1 Blk

Dwight Howard- 18.0 Reb, 2.7 Blk

Roy Hibbert- 11.6 Reb, 3.9 Blk

Joakim Noah- 17.0 Reb, 2.3 Blk

Also...

Biyombo shoots 62% FG & averages 4.2 fouls per 36 min.

These myths that he can't score & would foul out in 20 minutes are garbage. He doesn't need to score, that's not hid role. But he's very effective on the limited shots he does take. And while he commits fouls it's not that bad considering how aggressive he plays.
