How Much Pressure on KB13?

Recommended Posts

I like being underrated and called "bad" before the season or even training camp starts. I'm less concerned with the WR situation because Ricky's really good at getting amazing production out of semi good players like ted ginn jr who didn't look good till he joined us.

Now the lack of a chosen RT/LT worries me. I hope it works out but replacing an all pro LT like gross might make or break us. I am sure cam can find these new receivers but if he's not protected then out O will be dead in the water.

In the redzone he should be able to get a td every time if we are within 5. They'll be stacking the box for Cam and Tolbert running and then they'll have their coverage shifts towards Olsen and KB will be wide open with his 10 feet and Cam should be able to hit him for a td no problem. 1 every 2 games is absolutely reasonable.

"he should be able to get a TD every time"......yeah lets ask other tall wrs why they don't get a td every time they are close to the endzone. people make it sound so easy on a message board.

I'm sorry, but do you see Cam Newton playing for any other team that has tall WRs? How about Mike Tolbert? Greg Olsen? All of them? It seems to me that we are the only team to have all those 3 threats at the goal line. And obviously it was exaggerated but he'll definitely be able to get at least a TD every other game. I'm not saying he's as good as Dez or Megatron, but they run a post on the goal line and get a TD damn near every time. Our red zone offense last year for the first half of the year was the most efficient in the league, and adding interior line depth and getting healthy will help as well. Add in KB and they'll either shift their coverage to him leaving the interior open for a Cam or Tolbert pound up the middle, or they'll still stack the box and leave KB open for a TD. I'll change what I said to, "WE should be able to get a TD NEARLY every time."
