Mike Beasley

He could come cheap and could add scoring punch also has been a starter in this league before, he's very active on the blocks

It depends on who's spot he's taking.

Would I rather have Beasley coming off the bench as the backup SF than Jeffrey Taylor? Possibly.

He couldn't play for the Heat's extremely thin bench while they were DESPERATE for help. Rather find a young guy with some upside instead of a veteran bust, so, no thanks.

As a coach: Steve Clifford > Eric Spoelstra

Spoelstra winning two titles just by being Lebron James' head coach doesn't mean he's a good coach. Him not playing Beasley doesn't mean that Beasley shouldn't have been playing.

beasley did work when he was put in... He deserved more pt than he got.

Exactly.

That's silly. If "effort on D" is so important, then Stephenson > Hayward, by a mile.

I'm confused...I didn't mention anything about Hayward or Lance.

I was just talking about Beasley. Effort is all he would need to be a good defender...but he doesn't care about that part of the game.

    • The issue is the formula is secret, and it incorporates runs... So... Yup, it does. Same with PFF (which isn't quite as secret). But when it doesn't - like on Sunday - it's often to hilarious results. PFF is more reliable I think at matching my 'eye' test.
    • According to the talking heads of the sports world, this is a pretty meh QB class.  Sanders and Ward are the only two with first round buzz, but the rest are blah.  Take that for what you will. Let's see how Bryce does in year three.  That's just where we are.  Patience is the key here.  Players need time to develop.  They can't develop if they don't play.  Bryce has made some really good throws, but he doesn't look like CJ Stroud.  That's going to be his point of comparison the rest of their careers.  The ball doesn't explode off Bryce's hand, it's not a cannon ball shot out of a cannon.  He's not going to break a 70 yard run.   Bryce is going to have to continue to make good throws and make plays.  Part of that is going to depend on the play calls.  Part of it is based on the skill players.  A couple drops picked up yesterday and it's a win and Bryce throws 1-2 more TDs.  A completely different story. It's been a crazy year indeed.  I just want to see Bryce continue to develop.  To see XL become more consistent.  To see JT fully recover (not play this season if he's not healthy).  I want to see Coker continue to make plays.  I'd love to see Brooks get more touches and Chubba continue to hammer defenses. Then this approaching offseason, let's go back to the D and work on fixing it.
    • Prime is already gone boss.  Nothing left for team Sanders in college football.
