i'm sure higher-ups recognize that you've been excelling despite advantages that other people routinely have, whether they come out and admit it to you or not.

it sounds like you've got nothing to be worried about, to be honest

This should actually be a good indictment of your character and how they feel about you. They know they can toss you into the deep end of the pool and you will swim where others sink. This is a show of trust by your upper management, knowing you will not only hit the ground running, but excel within a very short time frame.

Not everyone can do this, and you are getting a chance to grow professionally because you can. Keep your confidence, keep your cool. You'll do fine.

Thanks for the kind words. The way some of you put it, I should not worry about anything. I'll just keep a level head and hope for the best.

You should be more worried about the more taxes you're going to have to pay

It evens out. I pay a little more taxes but I get more perks from the company. We get this eletronic 'meal' card that they deposit X amount of money every month that can be used anywhere where that card is accepted. Which is everywhere here. Just have to show ID. It can be used on Anything in the store. The amount varies on your level. Low level grunts get up to 500 pesos per month. Since I'm a level higher than them, I get up to 700 pesos a month. I've heard that PC (Product Coodinators) get around 1,000 pesos per month.

That's not including the attendance bonus they give up per month. Another 500 pesos for everyone. Again depends on the level, it goes higher for GL (Group Leaders) and PC. Supervisors make the big bucks of course. I'm aiming to become a supervisor, maybe I'll be able to later on. Who knows. we will see.

I make decent money now. Once I get the promotion I'll be making twice as much as I do now, at least I'd like to believe that. Pay scale is very different in Mexico. There are not many jobs that pay you by the hour. Most of us get paid by the day.

I want to visit so bad but I stick out like a sore thumb. I can't even get a tan and fit in with this blonde hair. That and no one would believe I'm from Colombia speaking Spanish like a toddler.

Maybe you can answer a question. I have quite a few Latin friends. Like enough that our primary language while rock climbing is Spanish because its faster than English. But the question at hand on my Spanish channels there are so many beautiful women yet none of my friends know any back in Mexico, Colombia, or Brazil (for the record my one Brazilian friend is a Spanish teacher. I've always found that funny). You would think someone has a sister or a cousin that happens to need a green card yet no one has any available? Is hooking up with a gringo that much of a social stigma?

Not really dude. You need to find the right crowd to hook you up.
