Cam ranked smack dab in the middle of QBs according to some league insiders

top dawg

The 2nd article I quoted points out that the execs actually rank Cam higher than coaches, kind of ruins the argument they are trying to save face for the league.

Both league execs and coaches are hostile to CHANGE in the game.

But you know who is the most hostile to change between the two?  Coaches by far.  They like what they were taught as players and they want to keep doing it.

Exec's however, though more willing to "stick with how its done" than not are at least MORE willing to adapt change if they think it can make their team better.

Cam is a threat to "the old ways" that coaches love.  And because they don't understand it, they don't respect it.

FUG those dried up assholes.

Cameron "Rodney Dangerfield" Newton should be his new name. If they had roasted Cam his 1st line could've been, "take my wide recievers, please". See what i done there...? Ah fug it, Cam's #1 and has the jersey to prove it. We don't need luck on our side when we have the ultimate created player at QB. KEEP POUNDING!!!

Cam will always be judged strictly on his passing,  by some of the older "experts".                            They will smile,  nod and say amazing things and then rank him at around the 20th best qb at times.           Since... you know,  all qbs can "run", but not all can pass,  according to some "experts".

I do laugh a little at all the hype surrounding Luck.    For a qb with amazing footwork and has just the best football mind since Peyton Manning,  you would think the kid would be more accurate than a qb like Cam... A guy,  based on arm,  is middle of the pack.

I just wanna know where they wouldve ranked Cam after his rookie year where he broke all those records when they put him number 16 after hes supposedly improved after each season

Some of the experts rank Matt Ryan's rookie year way above Cam's rookie year, simply because team wins = Qb Stat.

And they put Andrew Luck in Tier 1 with Manning, Brees, Brady and Rodgers. I can't take these guy seriously.

They even put Flacco, Stafford, Foles, Kaepernick and Eli above Cam.

Andrew Luck to me is a The Golden Calf of Bristol but with improved passing skills. His stats are all over the place but yet he is hailed as the 2nd coming. The dude is a interception machine

Well, here is how our old buddy Reid Foster at Cover32 has spinned it.

"ESPN article claims Cam Newton is merely an average quarterback"

So the league consensus is that Cam Newton is, at best, the 16th best starting quarterback out of 32. That’s exactly average. Meanwhile, the guy that spurned Carolina by returning for his senior year, Andrew Luck, is considered one of the five elite quarterbacks and Colin Kaepernick, who was taken in the second round of the draft Newton was taken number one in, is considered a tier better. That’s not where you want to be if you’re a former number one overall pick

.

Is this dude trolling us, or what?

Through their first 2 years in the league:

Cam: 29 INTs

Luck: 27 INTs

Cam: 1 INT every 34 passes

Luck: 1 INT every 44 passes

Luck threw 195 MORE passes, and still had less INTs than Cam.

% of passes intercepted last year:

Cam: 2.7% (20th best in the league)

Luck: 1.6% (6th best in the league)

Sorry to let actual facts and reality get in the way of your incorrect assumptions. I hate when that happens.
