Shopping with a smart phone

Maybe you do this already but if not, you should.

Had to buy a coffee maker today. Mine died. I knew which style I wanted. Did not want to spend big bucks especially since no time to do real research. I could not go another morning without coffee. Looked briefly online at local stores, nothing stood out. Went to Target on my lunch break. They had one in the style I wanted (thermal carafe). Had the features I wanted...was a Mr. Coffee. Got out my phone to look at ratings. Several sites listed it 4.5-5 stars. So while I had my phone out..looked at prices. Target wanted $72.99. Best price I could find online was at Best Buy...online only, $59.99 with free shipping. Took that to the service desk and they sold me the coffee maker for that price.

Finally shopping is fun.

Nice work and good thinking. Who knew a good smart phone was capable of more than selfies and texting while driving?

Love my Keurig, though!

You still doing the VW thing? I may PM you questions about the Touareg.

We have a Keurig at work. It is a great machine but at home I need a pot of coffee not a cup.

Yes,still with VW. Sales person of the month for June. Love the product.

Congrats on being a great sales person.

I'm 6'6" at 270lbs currently driving a Tahoe LTZ, which I love, but the mileage sucks and I'm spending more time driving back and forth from my beach home (3 hrs each way). I'm 58 and my knees are a small issue, the Tahoe allows me to basically step in and out without having to fold in half to get in (my wife has an Infiniti G and I feel like getting in is a controlled fall and climbing out is an exercise from an obstacle course).

Will I fit in a Touareg? I'm asking to make sure it's worth my time to drive an hour to my nearest VW dealer.

Touareg sounds great for you. How many miles do you drive a year? Asking to see if the TDI would benefit you.

Eastern NC- I have to go to either Raleigh or Goldsboro (Raleigh preferably, more lunch or dinner options...lol)

I drive about 16-18k a year.

You know Amazon exists right? For example the last thing I bought online: Thermco GW2506C Combined Form API Hydrometers, 49 to 61° API Range, 0.2° API Division, 0-150°F Temperature Range, 7.5" Length https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BQO7B5Q/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_kB2Stb18XRFBA8AK

Also Amazon comes with a built in barcode scanner to compare prices.

Cheap coffee makers lead to bad coffee. Keurig, endorsed by the Carolina Panthers Special Teams and Derek Anderson

A good cup of coffee comes from the correct water temp, not necessarily just good coffee beans.

And while I usually enjoy 2 cups in the morning, I have one before I walk 3-4 miles and another when I'm done.

.

Yes. I know about Amazon. I have a prime account. I have a Keurig at work. I know what it does. Did I mention I wanted a pot of coffee rather than a cup when I am brewing at home? I do not think I got a cheap coffee maker. Hope I got decent one at a good price. Did I mention I was having a crisis?

That's what makes the keurig so good. But I also drink stuff named Tiger Blood and Jet Fuel.

Just a word to the wise don't try to just go right to the source and snort caffeine powder. It will make your nose bleed.
