I don't want him.

I want Amini and Turner to start

 

And if one of them gets hurt?  Depth can turn out to be just as important as your starters and IMO the key value Wharton would bring is versatility.  If someone goes down, he can play a lot of different spots.

That may be, but I'd guess that if they wanted him back, they would've handled much like they did with Gross, tell  him that you'd like his decision by a certain date. I'm guessing that an offer was never made and that's why he was contemplating retiring.

Ship has probably sailed.

He probably couldn't beat out Amini and Trai at this point.

Doubt he want's to be depth.

Amini has never put in a season as good as the old broken down version of Wharton we saw last year.

Amini shows flashes but until he actually performs.....he isn't better than the old version of Wharton
