Chris Broussard: Hornets going to make a strong run at Stephenson.

Definitely want Stephenson more than any of the other free agents, as he is more of a need/fit than the other options, but would we need to get rid of Henderson?

I can't see the 2 spot with Henderson being the 2nd/3rd option while being paid like he is.

Maybe we can trade, maybe we chalk it up to a bad contract and it just is what it is.  Either way I'd rather have Lance here then not...even if we do have a highly paid back up.  Really we'll be ok as long as we can at least trade Hendo next year.

The Hornets are going to make a run at Lance? Are you sure? It's not like this hasn't been known for a month now. This is some real breaking news.

It's not really news.  It's just the confirmation of the inevitable.  Which in a way is still news.

I'd imagine the Pacers matching a longer, more spread out deal.

Listening to Zach Lowe talk about this exact thing right now, and his opinion would be to offer something like 2 years, 30 million for Lance...preventing the Pacers from really keeping him.

IMO, I think this may be the way to go. Offer big money, but short term. Especially for a guy like Lance, where you don't know what the hell you're getting sometimes. If Lance goes crazy or proves he's not worth big money, he's off the books in 2 years or offers a huge trade piece in his expiring contract. If he works out, re-sign him.
