Yeah that's pretty obvious. Kemba is the second best player on our team and people on here poo on him for no reason.

Since I'm one of the ones that is shitting on him I don't know what to say other then y'all are not listening to what I'm saying. Instead yall just chalk it up to me being a dick.

It has nothing to do with whether I like Kemba or not. It has everything to do with him not being able to connect the dots. Is he efficient at what he does? Yes, to an extent. Does he need to make drastic improvements as a point guard and running the offense? Hell yes!! If he doesn't, The team will not be able to take the next step for success with him at the point. He could learn alot from Chauncy Billips. For a point guard to be good, he has to run the offense efficiently and bail the team out when the shot clock gets down instead we have to rely on McRoberts. Also Kemba's 3 pt % is complete poo. Its half on him and half on not really having a mentor/coaching staff his first few years in the league.

I don't understand why people try to justify him comparing him to other players. I want to see him become great not average.

Posted this a few days ago in a different thread.

Not a fan of Kyrie's, and I don't want to see the Hornets offer a max (which is what Kyrie is getting from Cleveland/straight from the horses mouth) to a player that is moderately better than Kemba.

He's a very talented player but he's not the right fit for us.

First off he's not a leader, Cleveland has had more problems than any franchise in the NBA. Not to mention, when LUOL DENG (one of the quietest players in the NBA) says he wants out; there is obviously a problem. Superstars lead but instead Irving and Waiters find it more convenient for them to be at each other's throats.

Secondly, Irving is a one way player and his teams defense is significantly better when he's not on the floor. When Irving is on the floor the Cavs allow 106.3 points per game, when Irving is off the floor the Cavs only allow 99.5 points per game (that is good for 5th in the NBA). Furthermore that seven point swing would have been the difference in 20 of the Cavs games last year. However, not only does his team defense suck, his solo defense is below average. Opposing point guards post an 18.6 player rating against Kyrie (the league average is 15.0). Players are also scoring on him (0.90 points per possession) just as much as he scores on them (0.93 points per possession). So essentially his offense and defense wash out meaning that he doesn't affect the game.

Now I know some people are going to argue that Carmelo Anthony is also an awful defender. While that is true, his statistics are a level above Irving's which allows him to have a net affect on the game.

Personally, I don't want a player on the roster who commands max money and doesn't affect the game.

Wanting to see him improve is a fair enough point most of us will agree on, and I wasn't really talking about your post, you had a pretty well thought out post before.

How can you sit there and compare Kyrie Irving to Kemba Walker? smh

Because their production in the NBA is nearly identical after 3 seasons. Kyrie isn't any better than Kemba.

Differences-

Kemba is a decent defender, Kyrie is an atrocious defender.

Kemba is a champion, Kyrie is a media anointed star.

Kemba is a natural born leader, Kyrie is a diva.

Kemba is durable & tough as nails, Kyrie is injury prone & made of glass.
