Most Overrated Game of All-Time

COD, but i'd even go far as to say any first person shooter in general. Its a genre i hate, i dont find it fun at all. yet the market is overflowing with it. "Hey lets put another game with all black and brown graphics" BRILLIANT!! /sarcasm

Final Fantasy 7: Deserves the praise but its most people first rpg, but its too easy really. The series as a whole died for me after 10, its not the same anymore. Why keep making 13 sequels? i hated the first 13 game.

Resident evil 4: Singlehandlely put an end to umbrella in the first minute of the game and started the wave of games that thought just added wave after wave of enemies instead of anything that remotely adds tension or scares. Took out the puzzle solving and the detective type gameplay. Your just going from point a to point b. ugh. You pretty much have infinite ammo now,.Pretty much the turning point of this once great series trying to be another call of duty or gears of war. The original games made it so one enemie creaped you out and scared you.

Strongly disagree on FF7. One of the greatest games of all time in any genre imo. Great story, fun gameplay, and just an awesome game.

Coming from SNES to what PS brought to the table it was an amazing game. Beautiful in every way. It was like losing my virginity. Only FF7 isn't divorced with three kids by three different dads and working the checkout at Walmart.

As someone who has experienced years of actual war no video game comes close and I find all of them to be overrated.  It's why I stick to shooters where I have no point of reference. Stupid game telling me a headshot with a .45 USP won't put a guy down, fug you COD!

Don't get me wrong, i love the game. But its overrated for being just another typical rpg. It really doesn't break new ground. Yes it was one of the first 3d final fantasys' and did the transition from 2d to 3d right of any game series at the time. It would be one of my top games ever. But it was marketed like crazy back then. Commercials, on build boards, and on freakin buses. Truelly seeing those thingsy got everyone and their monther to play it. Plus overrated based on any other rpg that comes out must be compared to it. Like it has this huge standard, truethfully it wouldnt be hard to emulate or even be better than it gameplay wise, and more rpgs have done so. Fanboys of it make it overrated.

GTA IV.  It received a perfect 10 on a crap ton of websites, but it damn sure didn't deserve it.  Solid game, but far from being the almighty of video games that people praised it to be.

Wanted to go with Call Of Duty WaW to current titles, but no need.  That's easy.

You shut your ***** mouth....

I kid I kid. But seriously...how can it be overrated if you say it "deserves the praise"?

You're talking about a game that's getting close to celebrating it's 20th anniversary. Of course you can make the gameplay better in 20 years. It would be a serious problem if you couldn't. Being old doesn't make a game overrated., not being worth the hype and fanfare when it was new does. FFVII was absolutely worth every bit of hype and fanfare when it came out...
