A Hall of Fame question you probably haven't thought of

Uhmmmm...

Jordan Gross - 3x Pro Bowler, 1x AP First-Team All-Pro

Ryan Kalil - 4x Pro Bowler, 1x AP First-Team All-Pro, 1x AP Second-Team All-Pro

So what was your point again?

Might be enough if they had a couple of Superbowl rings to go with those selections.   But not enough without them.

Kalil, as long as nothing happens, should have another 8-9 years or so and I'm sure he'll get quite a few more Pro Bowls based on name recognition alone.  He's probably the most well-known active center in the entire league, and highly respected by his peers and general fanbase.

He's only 29.  Centers typically have pretty damn long careers and usually remain playing at a high level until their mid-30s.  If you were already a good center (such as Jeff Saturday) then you can stick around until 38-39.  I see Kalil being like another Jeff Saturday.

If he has that type of longevity, along with how accomplished he already is... yeah, I think he'll have a good shot at HOF by the time his career is over.

TO is 100% gonna get his bust.

Yeah, I don't get when some people doubt Moss and TO getting in the HOF.  Like... they're arguably the 2nd and 3rd best receivers of all time as it stands.

Were they complete knuckleheads?  Absolutely.  Were they extraordinarily talented and have a huge impact on the game?  Without question.

Those two are undoubtedly getting in.

Without the ring, I just see no way Gross gets in, not enough seasons, and not enough All-Pro's.

Kalil may get in, if he stays healthy, makes 3-4 more All Pro's, and we make a few runs deep into the playoffs/win a ring.

However, I'm thinking that Peppers will probably be the first one in that was a home grown player.

gross definitely isn't going to make it. not enough accolades.

i really doubt kalil will either. he's just not considered elite. for most of his career, nick mangold was the #1 center and.... there is no way mangold makes it to the hall either. unless he and kalil are undisputed top centers for the next decade and they get just about every all-pro and pro bowl selection.

Kasay. Ring Of Honor, Statue, and HOF in 2018. 461/563 in 22 seasons, 9th all-time leading scorer in NFL history. 2nd all-time in FG made from 50+, 1 of only 7 to make 400+ FG in career, only player to ever convert 4 FG of 46+ in a single game.

He may be 9th but he is behind 8 other kickers. All but one played during the same time as Kasay. There are only 3 placekickers in the HOF. Kasay has no chance.

I don't think the Panthers have any former players that would realistically be a HOFer.  Steve Smith is CLOSE but it all depends what he does in Baltimore. Having a Superbowl ring makes it a lot more likely to make it in.

That said, Cam and Kuechly are definitely on a stronger track to become HOFers than anyone the Panthers have ever had.  Win a Superbowl and I think those two have a great chance barring any catastrophic injury.
